Anger, self-doubt, self-hate, and so many emotions I felt towards myself. I had lost my battle against Ino, more so a draw, yesterday. I had wanted to win so badly, I just, I couldn't bring myself to hurt someone I had called a friend when I was little. It should've been easy for me to take her out, but I couldn't do it.
"Sakura, please come downstairs, we have a guest." I heard my mother shout.
Sighing softly, I stood off my bed and left my room, walking down the stairs and into the kitchen where I figured my mother was before halting my footsteps.
"H-Hokage-sama!"
Our Hokage smiled at me before gesturing me to sit down across from him at our dining room table, "Sakura, you did well on your fight yesterday."
I bit the inside of my cheek, "I guess."
"Your father and I will be back later okay? We're just going to get some groceries, Hokage-sama, please make yourself at home while we're gone."
The Hokage smiled and nodded before my parent's shusinned out of our apartment leaving the Hokage and myself alone. I watched as he pulled out a scroll and opened it, forming a few hand signs making the room shift and change around us freaking me out slightly.
"What's happening?" I asked as I gripped onto the rock I somehow ended up on.
"We are in a genjutsu, I needed to speak with you privately and this is the safest place to do just that."
"About what?"
"There is a special mission I have for you, one that only you can complete. Will you accept this mission?"
"Hai!"
What have I just got myself into?
-- Later That Day
I was scared, terrified even. The Hokage had assigned me a special mission; my parents were more concerned with where I would go and if I would be safe rather than why I was leaving for they knew it had to be of importance. Currently, I was on my way to the Hidden Mist Village and was taking the civilian route which meant when I made it to the border of the Land of Fire and the ocean, I would be able to get transportation to the village safely. I was allowed to bring a few items with me and was told to leave my headband behind, I didn't really like the idea of leaving my headband behind but I got over it and I packed a notebook and pen, some kunai, a small first aid kit, a change of clothes and a photograph of my parents and I and the one of Team 7.
I couldn't wrap my head around as to why I was chosen for this, but the Hokage put his trust in me and I didn't dare go against it or his choices even if it was a whole lot to process. But I would use this month to learn what I could from anyone who was willing to teach me.
"Kami, sometimes I forget just how long it took to get to the Mist Village... At least there's a small village on the way I can stay in for the night. I wonder how Naruto and Sasuke-kun's training are going..." I mumbled to myself.
I was upset that I wouldn't be able to take the final exam with my teammates but I knew I had a chance next time to become a chunnin and I would try my hardest to pass. Those two always were ahead of me... maybe it was the fact their chakra reserve was larger than mine, or maybe it was the special treatment they got from Kakashi-sensei... I growled slightly and crossed my arms over my chest, I was sick and tired of everyone treating me like a baby! The fact Kakashi-sensei never really trained me because he was focused on the boys and how everyone just seemed to come to my rescue. I needed to be able to defend myself but no one ever even gave me the chance to! A wave of determination clouded over me as I came to a stop, punching my fist into my palm smirking, I would complete this mission given to me by the Hokage and show everyone just how powerful I really am!
