"Alec dear we need to make a plan" the goddess tried to persuade me.

Right now all I wanted to do was go in with all intent of murder and get her back. She was in danger and I couldn't do anything about it because no one would let me storm in there to get her. She had told me she loved me, it made my heart flutter at her words. The goddess had only smiled; she had been listening in to our mind link.

As our goddess she could look into any of our minds, and she looked way to happy about Lilliannith and her confession but she still refused to answer me about it.

"Fine, I will wait and make a stupid plan," I told her, "but, you have to tell me why Lilliannith's confession made you so weirdly happy, dragons should not be able to mind link over that kind of distance, especially with a human." I said looking her dead in the eyes.

She sighed but a smile was still plastered on her face, "fine Alec, I'm sure you have noticed the change within your relationship to Lilliannith, it has been a long time sense I have seen a Dragon care so much for any human and same with Lilliannith and how she cares for you. So"

She paused, "I made a mate link between the two of you."

I felt everything freeze; dragons stopped having mates a long time ago when the goddess left our world. Many dragons were placed into arranged mating or mutually decided to mate together. Dragons like wolves mated for life. The goddess stopped giving dragons mates when the humans started coming after us, because if you killed a dragons mate the other was put into extreme pain and most of the time died of the pain and broken heart. It was our weakness, our mate.

Mates were cherished in dragon life; they were the other half of your soul. The person the goddess chose for you at birth. You could feel their emotions, feel any of their pain, mind link them over long distances. You loved them; they would be your everything.

I looked up at her, "why, she is human?"

The goddess looked me straight in the eyes, "things need to change here Alec, and this is not the only gift I bless the two of you with."

I looked at her confused.

"Alec, I understand you are dragon she is human. That is why I'm blessing you with a human body, don't worries you will be able to change back at will. I figured it would make it easier for the two of you to be together. And as for our lovely Lilliannith, I've blessed her with her own dragon. So the both of you may live each other's lives, as mates." She smiled at me.

I was in shock, me and Lilliannith?

I felt joy at that thought.

"Wait waits, so you're saying they both will be able to shift back and forth like the werewolves of the mood goddess?"
Garran asked.

The goddess nodded and laughed, "Don't think I've forgotten you Garran, you have helped Lilliannith as well. You will be blessed with the power to shift as they are, you could be very useful to the two of them. "She paused giving him a sweet smile, "as well as a friend I hope."

He nodded at our goddess, giving her a small smile back.

"As you wish my goddess." He bowed to her.

"Come now," she says, "we shall give you the ability to shift and get you in that camp to save her Alec. This is our plan, you need to make it where she is safe before we run in there to take out these humans, another dragon will be useful in our fight to rid this place of them."
