Peri and Tom - Pregnancy

Chapter 5 - Our birthday

I woke up in my own bed after being discharged from hospital a few hours after.
"Happy birthday Pez! Your first birthday as me as your mum," danced Leela into my room. She handed me a bag. I opened it. Inside was the most beautiful bracelet I have ever seen.
"Don't worry there is more downstairs. You look a bit ill. Are you ok?" Leela asked sounding worried.
"Yes I'm fine I will get dressed and come down," I replied with the thought of morning sickness. I decided to take forever to get dressed so I could go straight to school and not face everyone asking if I was ok. I got dressed extremely slowly then walked out of the house without anybody noticing. I met Tom and Nico at Nico's flat.
"Birthday buddies. Happy birthday," said Nico trying to be positive.
"Happy birthday I forgot to bring your present in the rush this morning but I can bring it to the dog later Leela says that she has booked a meal for the two of us," I replied trying not to think about the pregnancy.

School was ok. I trusted Nico and Tom therefore nobody else knew well Dylan might know but he isn't going to tell anybody. After school me and Nico went back to hers to get dressed I still couldn't face Leela and Tegan alone; I need somebody with me.

Once dressed we sat in the bed and began to talk.
"How did you know you were pregnant before going into hospital?" Nico asked wondering if this meal was a good idea.
"I took a pregnancy test I have it with me," I said searching me bag for it, " look it came back positive."
"You want to make sure that is well hidden before we go out. Come on we are late as it is. It will be ok Tom will at the dog," Nico replied gathering her things.

I grabbed the present for Nico and walked out after her.  We arrived at the door of the dog.
"I can't do it Nico somebody will know something is wrong," I exclaimed to Nico.
"You can as long as nobody sees that test you are going to be fine," answered Nico.

We slowly opened the door.
"Surprise!" everybody shouted. Thought spun around my head the test everybody is going to know. I smiled at everybody said thank you then walked over to Tom.
"Who's idea was this?" I said very annoyed.
"Leela's I didn't know about it until about half an hour ago. You are going to be fine," Tom tried to reassure me.
"We aren't going to be fine. I have the pregnancy test in my bag," I abruptly said back to him.

Everything went smoothly; then I dropped my bag and Nico's presents. Everything flew out everywhere. I couldn't let anyone see the pregnancy test so swiftly grabbed everything and threw it in what I thought was the correct bag... I put Nico's birthday present on the table of gifts for us both then went back to Tom. Me and Tom hadn't been as close before finding out about the baby but now we spoke every second of the day.
"What are we going to do? You know when everybody finds out," I said anxiously.
"Peri stop worrying we will sort that out soon you should be happy you have just turned 15!" Tom announced smiling at me. He slowly lifted my head and kissed me.
"Excuse me, Peri? Tom? Can I speak to you and Nico?" Leela asked me I was so embarrassed.
"Yeah sure," I replied.

"Excuse me could I have a bit of quiet I just wanted to say something. Girls do you want to come up here?" Leela asked. My heart was throbbing as I walked up to the stage.
Leela one by one handed us each present out of the bag. Then came Nico's present from me I knew she would love it. Leela handed Nico the present.
"Oh wait a second Nico there is something else in the bag," exclaimed Leela. The test must have ended up in the bag.
"There isn't anything else in the bag," I replied trying to stop Leela to look bag in the bag. Leela slowly entered her hand into the bag and pulled out the test.
"A pregnancy test?" Leela laughed, "Wait, it's positive. Peri are you pregnant?" I paused. I heard Patrick say "like mother like daughter" but tried to ignore him.
"Pez answer me are you pregnant?" Leela screamed.
"No I am," Nico answered. What was I going to do now?

Back home - After the party
I hadn't seen Nico after she said she was pregnant. Patrick took straight home, leaving everything behind. Leela walked up to me.
"Pez I'm sorry I know you wouldn't make the same mistake I did. You cleverer than that," Leela smiled. I smiled and went to bed. But I was pregnant that was the problem and Nico isn't...

Thank you so much for being patient with this chapter as you can tell is a a lot longer than my average chapter. I will get the next one up as soon as possible.
Also do you mind me calling Peri's mum Leela and not mum?
