A/N: Sorry its late. I'm having a really shitty time at the moment. It took me three days to write this because I have no motivation at the moment. Sorry. Please forgive me :(
*Alice's POV*
"I like your house, Danny." I smiled.
"Thank you. Alright," he turned to Corey, "See you later, dude."
"Look after her, please bro." Corey pleaded.
"I'm not a baby." I pouted. "I can look after myself, even if Danny wasn't here I could still look after myself and be okay."
"Remember last time?" Corey asked.
"I'm older and wiser now." I promised, playing with a strand of my long, black hair.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but that was only two weeks ago." Corey raised his eyebrows. I pulled a face at him, jokingly. "Whatever, I'll see you later. Thanks again, Danny."
"No prob. Don't stress." Danny grinned, and Corey finally left. Awkwardly, I walked into Danny's kitchen with him. "So, trouble, what do you want to do?"
"I don't know." I shrugged, looking around. "Hey. What are they?" I pointed into the messy, dark lounge. On the tiny, dented wooden table stood a few brightly coloured pills, clustered in a pile of assorted colours.
"Them...? Medicine." He said quickly. Danny walked into the lounge and scooped up the pills, concealing them in his pocket. "I have back pain..."
"I get a headache sometimes. Can I take a back pill?" I asked, hopefully.
"No!" Danny looked concerned. "No way! They're... Dangerous." I nodded and walked into Danny's other room, much to his worry. Before he could reach me, I noticed the needles everywhere. "Alice... I..."
"I didn't know you were a nurse!" I said excitedly. Danny looked at me and suddenly burst into tears. He sat on the bed and sobbed. Surprised, I sat next to him and put my arm around him.
"I'm a mess. None of this is medicine, Alice! These are drugs. I'm an addict." In his depressed frenzy he picked up a needle and threw it on the floor into a pile of many others. "Heroin!" He hissed. I shrank into the corner, terrified. "Ecstasy!" He took the pills out of his pocket and threw them on the ground. Slowly, he threw bags and needles and God-knows what onto the floor and then looked at me with a look of pain and regret in his eyes. "You see. I'm a mess."
"I don't think you're a mess." I said truthfully. "You just got lost."
"Lost from what?" He frowned.
"Lost from what matters." I told him, going over and sitting next to him. "None of this matters. You just need to stop."
"I can't!" He groaned. "How did you start to heal from your problems?" he asked. Frowning, I shrugged. "You're seriously my hero." Danny breathed.
I pulled him in and we were suddenly lying on the floor together, in each other's arms, just as a sign that things would get better for each other. We just wanted to show affection to each other. "It's going to be okay..." I whispered.
"I don't know if it is." Danny sighed.
That was when the door opened, and the voice of Corey yelled at the top of his lungs.
A/N: Sorry it was bad... :( Love you guys.
