Mariana glanced out of her kitchen window. The stars in the sky were nonexistent, as cottons of gray were displayed. They covered the sky, hiding the full moon and its potential glow behind them.

12:00am hit. The clock ticked back and forth alarming the current time. Mariana's eyes felt heavy the more and more she stared out the kitchen window, wishing this nightmare could be over, this man could get out of her house and peace would find her.

She rested her head in the crook of her folded arms. Soft sighs radiated out of her mouth as she closed her eyes. "Why did I have to open the damn door?" Mariana slipped into a deep sleep, her body rested against the table she sat at as she drifted away.

--

A soft grunting noise echoed lowly throughout the room along with abrupt banging. Mariana's eyes fluttered soundlessly as she heard the noise grow louder and louder. She twisted and turned, as the soft mattress treated her back with gentle greatness. Mariana stirred for a couple more seconds before the flicker of her eye lids opened in surprise. How the hell did she get in her bed?

Cole was entangled in exercising against the door frame. He pulled himself up, his head stopping just slightly over the bar connected to the door frame. Mariana propped herself up on the bed as she gazed at Cole. Every time he lifted himself up he would let out a grunt for a breath and ease back down as his shoulders and arms guided him. His legs were crossed as he kept a constant speed. Mariana shifted in the bed causing a creek and Cole to look over. His body was sweaty, his face pale as he gazed at her sleepy body. He dropped to the floor rolling his neck as it cracked loudly.

"You're up. Good. Let's go." Cole cleared his throat looking for his discarded shirt. He turned his back displaying his muscles and strength as he walked over to his shirt.

"...What do you mean lets go?" Mariana asked flustered. "I'm not going anywhere with you." She protested.

"We're getting out of here, change quickly if you need to." He puts his shirt over his head swiftly before grabbing his gun that rested on her wooden dresser.

"We aren't going anywhere. Just you, you could leave. You know what, not could but should, you should leave now and by yourself." Her posture stiffens as she glared at Cole from her bedside.

His dark chuckle emerges from the pits of his throat, short yet quiet. "Aren't you just hilarious, let's go." Cole scowls at her, hands resting in his pockets.

Mariana scoots closer to the bed head, fearful of what his next move would be. "I'm not going anywhere with you." She nervously bites her lip searching for another weapon, this time lethal.

Cole's face falls flat and just shrugs nonchalantly. "Okay." He stares blankly at her from a distance, no sign of anger or threat on his godly face.

Mariana's shocked, her eyebrows twisted in a furrow, as she stares at him in confusion yet happiness. "Okay? Okay. That was easy I guess." She murmured.

Mariana was to busy contemplating if he was actually being serious or if he was messing with her. His face was as hard as a rock as he stared at her but that could easily be his facade. Before Mariana knew it, her legs were being dragged to the foot of the bed as Cole stood over her grasping her neck into his masculine hands.

"Get up, get dressed and let's go. Now." He stated sternly while squeezing her neck. Mariana let out a harsh breath struggling to release his hands from around her. She was terrified as she looked up at him in fear.
