Alex awoke the next morning at the sound of electro swing coming from her phone. She flung her arm aimlessly at the source of noise, successfully stopping it after the third try. the rest of last night had been a blur to her, doing the usual, staying up late, messaging Craig, drawing, ect... She clomped out of bed slowly, and slipped into the bathroom.
She removed her clothing, and turned the faucet handle to eject hot water. She stepped inside as the room stared to get steamy, and let the water scald her back, rinsing away any sleepy grime left behind. Letting out a sigh, Alex tilted her head back granting her dark hair access to the water. She felt it dampen, and stick to her back.
Alex proceded to wash her long hair, and the rest of her body before exiting and drying herself off. She shuffled out of the bathroom, her hair damp and in a towel above her head. She made her way to her dresser, and picked out the fist things she could see; a black shirt, and cargo shorts.
After dressing, and getting herself ready, Alex headed downstairs. She was greeted by a mumbled 'Goodmorning' from her mom., witch she returned just as halfheartedly. Her relationship with her mother was never too strong, with her being a big homophobe and all. They just never seemed to get along. Her dad on the other hand, was a nice dude, accepting, loving, and caring. Alex sometimes wondered how they ever got together.
She proceeded with making toast for breakfast, spreading the jam mostly equally on the baked bread. She grabbed a plate, setting the toast down, and brought it all to the table. Opposite seat of her mother's. She nibbled quietly at her toast, and avoided eye contact with the woman across from her. That morning was bland and awkward besides a few coughs, or clearing of throughs.
After packing her bag, and playing piano for a bit, it was time to leave for the buss stop. Alex gave a muffled goodbye as she grabbed her snappback off the railing, and glided quickly out the door. She shoved her hand deep in her pocket to retrieve her earbuds, witch where nestled snugly by her pencils and erasers. She fumbled with the buds, attempting to mover her fingers in such a way that they wouldn't be impossibly knotted.
Alex approached the stop, and glanced down at her phone. the buss was 3 muinits late. as usual. She didn't always get angry, but when she did, it was the little things that would put her into a fit of sheer rage. This was one of them.
She balled her fists, and clenched her jaw, in an attempt to ease her sudden anger. Her eyes clenched shut, and she took a shaky breath. Alex never knew why she got this angry at times, it just seemed to be uncontrollable. She Started to see little black dots, that spotted her vision. She closed her eyes, and thought of pas vents, only fueling her anger... The fights, the drugs, her sister, moving... It was all flooding her memory, and she was starting to bubble over.
Before Alex could do anything unreasonable, the flash of yellow that was currently turning the corner put her violent thoughts aside. Alex stumbled on the buss, and headed for the back. She was alone at the buss stop, and she was one of the early stops, so that gave her time alone in the back to think, and contemplate. as she always does.
Alex sat in her seat, and pulled out her homework. She had 20 minuits to complete a nights worth of homework. She sighed, and furrowed her brow at the work in front of her. Alex rested the pencil lightly on her lips, the eraser tip pushing lightly against her skin. Her head was in gear now, solving formulas, and writing them down fast and sloppy. Her hand jerked in an upwards motion, completing the last letter of her name. Math, and physics where invading Alex's brain, and she was having trouble pushing away the outside world.
She pressed a button on her phone to increase the volume of her music. It didn't really work. She sighed, and closed her eyes. She saw black. with little faint flashed of color, dancing around like a blazing array of fireworks. she saw little white dots, but not the anger induced ones... there where something else... Mystery? like a galaxy that lied confined to her mind, with each thought darting back and forth, bounding form one "what if" to the next...
