Your world may not be real.
Think about that. Your world may just be a piece of your imagination, or maybe a simulation.
It's a little early for a digression, but there's one nonetheless: now would be a suitable time to scream something along the lines of your life being a lie. Or if you're not the screaming type, you could just say something like '#mylifeisalie', which would be both hilarious and appropriate.
Anyway, back to the main point. Your life could be fake.
If you think about it, you could just be imagining everything that's going on. Your 'life' could just be your imagination. Even this story you're reading may not be real. You may be a dream. You may be someone else's dream.
Sounds unlikely, but it's possible. In fact, you and I (I'm also a human being, in case you were wondering. Or if you'd prefer, I'm a homo sapien.) may be seeing absolutely different things!
Let's take colours for example.
[Another digression: I use British spelling, so yes, I spell colours with a 'u'.]
A rainbow has seven colours. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. So you see these colours as what you call red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. I see these colours as what I call red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
But take your 'red' and my 'red'. Are they the same?
Assuming you're not colourblind (and that I'm not either), what if the colour you see as 'red' is seen as what you'll call 'blue' when I see it, yet we both call it 'red'?
A simpler way of expressing this would be:
ABC sees a rainbow. She points at it and says, "Look! There's a rainbow in the sky. The colour on the outer arc that stretches over the rest is red."
XYZ then replies, "Yes, it is."
But if ABC were to take a look at the rainbow through XYZ's eyes, she will see the colour of the outer arc as what she calls blue.
All I'm saying is that everyone may see things differently and not know, because they may be taught that that thing they see is called a rainbow. They will say the colours in the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. But they might not see each colour the way you see it. What they call blue, you may call red. For instance, if you somehow switched souls with someone and looked through their eyes with your brain, you'll probably go crazy because people have green skin and violet, pink, orange or yellow eyes. And when you switch back souls and confront the person, he/she will look at you like you're crazy and say something like, "You're insane. How can humans have green skin and violet eyes? Look, they all have beige-ish skin and black, green, blue or grey eyes."
Because what they may see as beige is what you may call green. But they become so accustomed to what they see that they think it's normal. Likewise, you may also be so used to what you're seeing that you think it's normal but it may not be normal.
Oh my gosh, how do I explain this. I don't think you get what I mean. Or maybe you do. If you do, then congratulations and if you don't, I don't blame you because sometimes I don't get myself either.
But this thing about seeing has probably been a huge digression, because my main point was your-and my-life.
For all you know, you are not you. For all you know, you are a thought.
FOR ALL YOU KNOW, WE DON'T EXIST! Forgive the caps.
I feel that there's a possibility that this world you're living in is an imagination, that in another dimension, there are being strapped to a machine that makes them slip into an elongated dream state. And in that state, they are imagining their life as a human-from birth to death. Which means, we might not be what you would call real. In fact, if we choose to believe in the idea stated above (the living in an imagination and another dimension thingy), the people you know might just be your imagination. In this world of so many people, you might be the only real person. The rest might just be your (extremely vivid) imagination.
In fact, if we follow that idea, since you may be an imagination too, then you're not real either-which means that nothing in this life is real.
I hope I haven't offended you in any way. I'm really sorry if I have.
