Joeys POV

After I left Shane, I went home. I decided that I would go bright and early tomorrow to see him. In order to make him remember me, I'd have to stick with him, and be patient.

The next morning around 9 I arrived at the hospital. He was awake, and happily talking to his mom. He was so busy talking, he didn't see me walk in.

Theresa: Shane, I'm gonna get some coffee, I'll be back.

I waited until she left, then walked over to him. He had a pad of paper and a pencil, and had his tongue sticking out in concentration. So cute.

Joey: Shane?

Shane: Joey! Why are you here!

Joey: I came by to see you. I know you probably don't wanna see me, but I wanna see you.

He furrowed his eyebrows and pursed his lips, staring at me.

Shane: Joey?

Joey: Yes?

Shane: Why aren't you sitting down?

Chuckling, I took a seat beside his bed.

Joey: What're you drawing?

Shane: YOU! It's not right yet though, I can't seem to get your eyes to sparkle with love quite right. It's pissing me the fuck off.

Joey: Well, I think it looks amazing.

Shane: "It's ok." he said, putting the pad down, and turning to smile at me.

Shane: Guess what Joseph?

I scowled at him, causing him to look at me in confusion.

Joey: I don't like being called Joseph, and what Shaney?

Shane: The reason I'm up this early was because I remembered something from when we were together! That's why I'm drawing this! I remember right at the camera turned off after our coming out video, and I asked you to be my official boyfriend, and then you *giggle* knocked me over into the grass, and started kissing me. It was a lovely memory. Do we have more like that?

Joey: *tearing up* Yes Shane, tons more. But, that was definitely one of the best memories. My absolute favorite is the first time I woke up next to you after you moved in, and you said "Now this is something I can sure as fuck get used to." Then you kissed my nose, and pulled me close to you. We laid there all day until about 6 pm not moving. It was the beautiful moment when I knew I loved you.

Shane: Hey! I remember that! Because later that night we went out on a date to my favorite restaurant, and you had chicken, and you spilled your water on my pants, making us both laugh!

Joey: And then there's that time...

This went on for almost 3 hours, each memory causing him to remember something. Eventually, Theresa came back, and added her own memories of us. This day was going amazing, he was remembering, and there was a small glint of love in his eyes every time he looked at me.

Shane's POV

I was remembering! I began to feel so overwhelmed with love for Joey. With each memory we discussed, another piece of the missing puzzle in my mind got put back into place. The only thing I couldn't place was the feeling of his lips in mine, but for some reason, I missed it.

Shane: Mom, do you mind if I talk to Joey alone?

She nodded, getting up, saying she was gonna go to the gift shop to look around.

Joey: What'd you wanna talk about Shaney?

Shane: This.

I grabbed his shirt and pulled him on top of me, and starting kissing him with all the passion I had in me. As soon as our lips touched, it was like some shit from The Vow.

Suddenly I gasped. All the memories, good and bad, began flooding into my head. I lightly pushed him away, my heart on fire for this boy.

Shane: *mutters* I remember.

Joey: Why'd you kiss me?

Shane: *a little louder* I remember.

Joey: I mean, I'm not complaining, it was absolutely wonder-

Shane: JOEY!

Joey: Huh?

Shane: I remember! Everything! I remember you! You're Joseph Michael Graceffa, you're from Boston, I've always thought you were cute, you are extremely healthy, your mom is an alcoholic, the reason we're together is because of a hug, and I fucking love you with all my heart and soul. Now kiss me.
