Finding him

Chapter 4

The next day I woke and felt excited. I don't know why. I guess I was excited to meet some more people. I don't know.

I quickly jumped in the shower and got dressed. Just as I was finishing brushing my teeth I heard my mom call my name. I walked down the stairs to my mom.

"Yes mom?" I said with and impatient voice.

"I'm leaving and won't be back till tomorrow night around 10" she said trying to sound sympathetic.

"Okay" i said with little emotion and walked up the stairs.

Don't get me wrong I do love my mom and we do have a good realationship, but sometimes I feel like she just doesn't have time for me. In my old school I would just hang out with friends most of the time to try and keep my mind off it but now that we moved I don't really have anyone to hangout with.

I grabbed an apple from the kitchen and then got my keys and made my way out to my car.

I got to the school in about the same time as yesterday. I walked to my locker and got my stuff for first period.

As I walked in I noticed all the boys in the back of the room like yesterday.

I tried to walk in so they didn't notice me but I obviously failed. Right as I walked in Nathan looked at me.

I took a seat at the front hoping the wouldn't want me to sit with them.

Just as I sat my books on my desk and took a seat. My books were swiped off my desk. I looked up and saw Aiden looking at me.

"Can I help you?" I said with a small smile

"Your sitting with us. " he said walking away leaving no room for an argument

I stood up and walked to the back of the class. I sat right in between Nathan and aiden. All the boys gave me a 'hey' or I head nod. I sat their quietly while the other students talked amongst themselves, waiting for the teacher to come in.

The teacher finally came into the room after about 10 minutes of waiting.

"Okay so today I am assigning a project. " The teacher said which I think his name is Mr. Evans but I can't remember.

"You will have to do this project outside of school. I already have your partners picked. This project will be due in 3 weeks time. Any that are turned in later will not be counted." The teacher said as he walked back to his desk

"Okay the partners are" he stated to read off the list and I stopped listening until I heard my name...........

"Sadie and Aiden........" Dammit why did he have to put him with me out of all of the people in this class I got him. Just my luck.

"Okay so I'm passing out this paper and it has all the instructions on it. Don't come and ask me what we are doing it's all on this sheet." He said as he started to pass out the papers.

"Sooooo your house or mine?" Aiden said with a smirk on his face.

"Mine and were starting today" I said before he could say another word. The rest of the class was just the teacher saying things about the project but I wasn't listening.

I sat waiting at my locker for Aiden. I finally saw him walking towards me after 5 minutes of waiting.

"Am I meeting you there or.....?" He asked trailing off.

"Just meet me there" I said and walked away.

By the time I got there he was already waiting on my porch for me. How did he get there before me? I swear he left after me. Whatever.

"Okay so we are just here to work on the project nothing more." I said and unlocked the door and walked through the door.

"Okay okay jeez chill" he said sitting down on my couch in the living room.

"Let's just work" I said sitting down next to him.

After an hour and a half of working I thought it be best if we stopped and got a snack.

"What do you want" I said standing I front of the open fridge looking for something to eat.

"Whatever your eating is fine with me" he said sitting down on one of the stools at the island.

I took out the needed supplies to make peanut butter sandwiches. I gave him his and as I sat across from him at the island.

"Sooooo do you play any sports?" I asked him. Obviously he played sports he had the body of like the hulk.

"Ya I play basketball, football, and baseball" he said while taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Cool cool well which ones your favorite?" I said trying to make small talk.

"Basketball because I'm the caption" he said while throwing me a smirk. "Do you play any sports?" He asked me

"No I don't. I don't really have time for sports." I told him honestly. He finished his sandwich and stood up walking over to the pictures hanging on the wall.

"Your an only child?"

"Uh ya" I said not really wanting to talk about it.

"Where are your parents right now?" He asked me turning to look at me.

"Um my moms on a work trip." I said putting our plates in the sink.

"What about your dad?" He said looking at more of the pictures.

"I think that's enough of the project time for today" I said trying to get off the topic of my dad.

"Where's your dad?" He said walking towards me. I just stood in the same spot not talking and looking at the ground. " Sadie" I took a step back when he got a little too close to me but then he took another step I took another step back but hit the counter.

I felt like I was about to cry. I don't want to talk about him. I can't talk about him it hurts too much. What he did to me. To my mom. I can't. I can't do it.

"Can you leave?" I asked him looking  at the ground still.

"No where's your dad?"

"Why so you care so much? Just leave please" i said looking at him. I could feel the tears coming in the corners of my eyes.

"I'm just curious" he said taking a step back.

"Just leave please" I said about to cry right then and there but I held it in.

"Okay okay I'm leaving" he said walking out the door.

I heard the door close so I finally let out all the tears I have been holding for almost 3 years.
