O moon, O me
How many nights
Have you watched with me
Knowing that she
Was on the other side
O moon, O me
How many days
Have you hid
Away from the sun
As I have hid from her
In the shadows
O moon, O me
From afar we share this bond
That neither that burning body
Or she
May ever come to understand us
O moon, O me
What kindred spirits are we
That by nature's cruel hand
We have been forced apart
From our opposing equals
Those who have seen our light
But will never appreciate our true beauty
