Stop the drumming

I silently sigh to myself. How am I going to survive this year? I look at Tiffany’s outfit. She’s wearing a black miniskirt that probably is four inches too short. The skirt is paired with blue stilettos and blue see through shirt. I mentally groan when I notice that everyone can see everything underneath. The bell rings and everyone starts shoving themselves inside.  Me and Ash stay behind a bit. Tiffany walks in front of us and makes sure to flick her blond hair in my face.

“Watch where you’re going you-“  I stop Ashley before she can continue. “You don’t want her little monkeys coming over here and giving you rabies, just forget about her”. She sighs loud enough letting me know that she’s pretty much aggravated. We walk in class and take a seat in the back of class. Mr. Donald walks in and sighs. “Welcome class” he says in a very mellow tone.  “Well someone’s extra happy” I whisper to Ashley. She silently laughs and I pay attention back to the teacher.

“Just so you know none of you are sitting where you are now” A loud groan echoes throughout the room. “Stop your whining, now all of you up and come to the front of the room.” We all slowly move to the front of the class. Ashley makes sure to stick extra close for any opportunity to get a chance to sit next to me. Mr. Donald starts calling out names, and soon enough the first row is filled and he’s beginning the next row. He calls out Ashley’s name and sits her next to Tiffany. Unconsciously I laugh out loud. Before realizing that I’m laughing everyone is staring at me. I stop and move myself all the way to the back of the crowd.

While waiting for my name to be called I get a couple of dirty looks from both Ashley and Tiffany. Soon enough Mr. Donald calls my name and sits me in the middle of the back row. Extremely happy of my seat I quickly make my way towards my seat. As I begin getting comfortable I hear Mr. Donald calling out Liam’s name. My head shoots up as I watch Liam make his way to the seat next to me, a small shy smile on his face. I immediately look at Ashley and see the worried expression on her face as she watches him take a seat next to me. I can tell the look on her face wanting to tell me that everything is going to be okay and not to break down in the middle of class. I try my best to pull a smile on my face and mouth an okay to her.

I straighten myself out and pay attention to Mr. Donald explaining how these are our permanent seats for the rest of the year. I so want to die right now. We start taking notes about ancient civilizations. Did I mention this is history class? And that I’m horrible at history? Mr. Donald sets up an assignment for the class. I start it after a minute of thinking what to write about. I’m hallway done when someone starts tapping their pencil on the desk. I try my best to ignore it knowing that it’s coming from the one person I really don’t want to talk to. I get to write a couple of sentences before he starts using two pencils. I look at him through the corner of my eye. He is smirking because he knows irritating me. He suddenly stops and I sigh loudly then look at him momentarily trying to write something down. I continued my work but stopped to think about how to end the essay. Right when I got something Liam starts drumming with his pencils. I was getting agitated. Then he started humming and I lost it.
