The Luna's Mate

F A T E I

I ran through the woods like never before, the trees and bushes were like a blur as I passed them, the sound of the air whoosh and the leaves crunch under my paw made me aware of how fast I was, but I didn't care, the wolf in me wanted to howl with glee

As I made it to the falls I shifted, the sound of bone popping, the feeling of claw retracting used to make me nauseous many years ago, but as of now, it felt natural, It even felt good

I untangled my belt that held my daggers from my leg before I shifted into my wolf form earlier and placed it on the ground, I went into the water butt naked, the coldness of the water made me shiver with delight, the coldness numbed my body but made me fully aware that I was not dreaming, that what happened minutes ago was indeed real. 

As I swam into the falls, I heard the sound of paws thumping on the ground, and the smell of something unknown to me has made my nostrils flare, as much as I wanted to tear into the fleshes of those unknown beings, I know it wouldn't be wise as there was a celebration being held and I didn't want to ruin it by bringing bloody bodies into the pack grounds.

"Hah! and here I thought you were cold-hearted'  my wolf said to me which made me growl in annoyance, the thumping stopped and I tried to sniff how many there were, I hid behind the rocks even though I knew they weren't near enough to spot me, I brought down the walls that were keeping the others from mind-linking me and instantly the voice of Calumn entered my head

'FAITH? FAITH! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!? COME BACK HERE' Calumn pleaded which made me irritated, I hate hearing people plead, it makes me angry. 

'Calumn, shut the fuck up for a moment, there are wolves near the falls, I'm not familiar with their scents' there was a short pause before he spoke again

'How many? I swear to Gaia if you face them by yourself I don't know what I'd do to you' 

'I can only smell five, I don't know if there are others, don't worry i can handle them, just inform the Alpha, Talk to you later'  I shut him off, got off the water and went for a tree that had a hole and grabbed some clothes which consisted of black basketball shorts and a tank top that was two times my size, there were clothes scattered in the woods, hidden in places that only the pack knew since this is Greenwood territory

I wore my belt, climbed the tree and jumped from one to the other, following the scent that was headed northeast and instantly knew where they wanted to go, the pack house, it was about two miles from the falls.

As I crossed their paths, they halted, and sniffed the air, there were two brown wolves, two blonde wolves and one grey with black blotches, with the grey one being the biggest of all them five I chose him as my target, I took my dagger out of its scabbard and as they were started to run again I pounced on him and pierced him on his shoulder, the other wolves growled at me but the grey one snarled at them making me sneer

'This is going to be such a piece of pie' my wolf said, I rolled my eyes at her remark and circled the grey wolf as he made a fighting stance

I pounced on him again and we tumbled into the ground, my dagger scrapped his cheek, which earned me a growl for him, I slashed my claws through his chest but failed miserably as he bit into my neck making my blood-thirst even stronger, I wanted to see his guts fly into the air, I wanted to break every bone in his body, I was about to kick him in the stomach when I realized his hold on me, I flinched involuntarily which made my wolf howl with rage, She wanted me to shift but I knew I can handle this in human form, or so I thought

My blood was oozing from my neck where he was still biting, he looked me in the eye and I saw red, a blazing red just like the blood that was in his mouth, I snapped back into reality when I saw that he has shifted and was hovering above me, If not for the slash I had given him he could've had a face that was fit to be called prince charming, As I once again snapped back into reality I remembered I was supposed to be bathing in his blood, not the other way around, I gripped my dagger and striked him on his side


He suddenly released my neck and snarled when I got up the man was about to pounce on me when  the others sniffed the air they started running back to where they came from

I fell onto my knees and clutched my neck and suddenly I was pressed into a chest as the scent of oranges and mint hit me, I relaxed knowing this was someone I could trust my life with, As I looked into his eyes, I saw that I was now laying on his calf and was putting pressure on my neck before I could comprehend what he was saying, I fell into a abyss.

SO  YEAH! HI THIS IS MIRANDA AND THIS IS MY FIRST EVER WOLF BOOK, THIS IS MY THIRD ATTEMPT OF POSTING A STORY HERE ON WATTPAD, MY LAST ATTEMPT WAS 2 OR 3 YEARS AGO, I DON'T REMEMBER, I DELETED IT CAUSE I COULDN'T UPDATE EVERY NOW AND THEN BECAUSE OF COLLEGE, MEH. SO I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS! XX
