The inspiration for this chapter came from Andy Black's cover song 'We don't have to dance'.
Thought you should've known that,

** Portland- Nick's POV **
(A/N: Damn, it's been a while)
Portland was hectic without Gibbs here. More wessen murders than ever before. All in general, more death. I felt great relief wash over me when I heard she was making her way back here.
I was currently at the police station because Renard said he needed a Grimm on the force. And he said he'll let Gibbs back in as soon as she returns. Everyone stared at me as I cheered in the middle of my work place. I had just gotten Gibbs' return call.
Hank
Nick, are you okay?Me
Gibbs is coming back.Wu
What?Me
GIBBS IS COMING BACK!!Everyone cheered at my small announcement. I smiled and sat in my chair. Hank stared at me for a second and then shook his head. He's been doing that lately.
Hank
Why are you so happy to see her again?Me
Did you see me when she was leaving? No, you didn't. I was crying, just like I did when I found my mother dead. She understands the factor of losing parents. I can talk to her about anything and she can talk to me about everything.Hank
What has she told you?Me
She's told me that she saw the Great Sphinx of Egypt being built. And the London Bridge. Aaaaaand the Great Wall of China. Also the Pyramids of Egypt which was a fascinating story. She'll have to tell you some day. Just someday.Hank
She really fascinates you?Me
I mean, if she wasnt immortal, she'd be a relic.Hank
Awwww... Ever thought about being a poet?Me
Shut up, dude.Captain
Heard anything back from Gibbs?Me
She's coming home. Gibbs is coming home.Captain
Act... Responsible around her.Me
Aye, aye Cap'ain. Our captain sighs and walks back into his office.
** Portland Airport- Your POV **
My pilot sped through the sky faster than it was supposed to. Thats the only reason im here early. Here early in Portland. The surprise Nick needs and wants. The surprise i'll give him. He must be having a stressfull day at work and I thought-- No, i know -- I can ease him up. I smile and stalk back to where i last saw my motorcycle.'. I was relieved to see that it had not been bothered. I slid on Sams' helmet which was about a size too big and sat on it. For a while, it took getting used to since i'd been driving cars for the past few hours. When I did get used to it, i weaved in and out of the airport at 100 mph. Hard, but not impossible.
The first place I stopped was the starbucks by my house. I picked up their strongest coffe, and their medium coffe. One for me and one for Nick. One of them smiled and asked why I was buying two. I replied saying that I was surprising my boyfriend up at PPD, and I really was. I paid and walked out. I set the cups in the worlds' most secure cup holders and drove off. My driving took me to the Portland Police Department within 45 minutes. Now, my driving isnt the worst but when i've been snapping necks and cashing souls, I tend to get tired. I parked in my personal spot and walked to Hank's car. I got my phone and went to Nicks' contact.
