Nikolova's POV

Me and my husband had felt terrible when we left our daughter with those wesen. They didnt know what we were or who our daughter was. We left her for all the right reasons. Sebastian and I were too deep into the Grimm world that we couldnt risk Jennifer to get hurt. So, we put her up for adoption and cut ourselves from her life. We moved to Hawaii and have been there for 30 years. Every year on Jennifer's birthday, we eat cake and celebrate with aged scotch.

We would get daily updates on my computer about events happening. It was ludicrous at the events because me and Sebastian could have taken care of these macabre things. But we stood out of the lime light only because I hadnt wanted any attention pointed to us. No one had bothered us and no one had tried to kill us. Our lives were good, Hell, its great. That was, until we saw our daughters marriage to a cop in the papers. We packed our clothes, and left without another say. After 30 years separated, we get to see our daughter.

Our plane arrived in Portland at 3:00pm. The paper stated that her wedding was at 4:00-6pm and the wedding reception at 7:30. We got to venue as everyone was leaving for some unknown reason. People were yelling 'She's in labor! She's in labor!' So, we followed everyone to The Treeview Hospital. No one recognized us and we were masters at going undercover. My cover was her aunt and Sebastian's cover was, well, her Uncle. I saw the man she was marrying and walked up to him.

Me
Excuse, sir. Whats going on?

Nick
My wife just went into labor.

Me
Congrats to you two.

Nick
Who-who are you to Jennifer?

Me
Me and my husband are her Aunt and Uncle.

Nick
She never mentioned having an aunt or an uncle.

Me
We've been out of her life for a long, long time so she didnt really know us.

Nick
Oh, okay.

Me
Why arent you in there with her?

Nick
I wasnt at the uh... Ultrasound because of work so she still wants the genders of the twins to be a surprise.

Me
Awwww, thats sweet.

Nick
Yeah, I guess it is.

Me
It was nice meeting you, Mr. Burkhardt. Take good care of our neice.

Nick
I will. I promise.

I walked by to my husband and smiled. He showed his perfectly white teeth as he smiled and kissed me. Sure, we had kissed in public before but it felt weird, kissing in front of Jennifer's friends. Especially when I could sense a few of them were wesen. But thats not what worried me the most. What worried me was the screaming I could hear. She was in pain, especially when she was delivering two babies into the cruel world. It may have been a pain in my ass to deliver her, but it wasnt as much pain as she was going through.

After a few hours, everyone was exhausted, covered in sweat and showed anticipation. It had been four hours since we had arrived here but all me and my husband could wait for was to see our daughter.

Doctor Cobain
Mrs. Burkhardt is requesting her husband.

Nick
That would be me!

Doctor Cobain
Right this way, sir.

Nick stood up from his chair and followed the doctor back to her room. I watched as he walked away until he was out of sight. Sebastian held my hand as we all waited for Mr. Burkhardt to return with both our daughter and their twins. We sat there, in the hospital chairs, for a few minutes while the two talked. I knew we wouldnt get our reunion, atleast not the one we wanted, when gunshots rang above. Everyone was screaming, and running towards the doors but me and Sebastian were absolutely perfect.

I picked up the dufflebag I brought inside and ran to her room. Nick wasnt in there so he must have ran out. But neither were the babies. So, he ran off with their children. That would have been a distraction for what we're about to do. I stood in her hospital room doorway, smiling. She furrowed her brows and tilted her head, just like her father would do when he got confused.

Me
Hey, sweetie. We have no time to explain. Grab the AR-15 from this duffle. We're going up.
