Phil's POV
I could already hear my mom groan before I finished.
More money spent on me, less alcohol for her. Whoopy.
All I simply asked for was 10 pounds for a class trip and she doesn't want to pay so she can drink.
I looked at her straight in the eye.
"I need it for school, mom. What happened to 'keep your grades up'?"
She caved finally. "Okay. Fine."
She disappeared into her room before returning with the money I needed. The note was already signed so permission wasn't a problem.
I stuffed it in my pocket and shouldered my back before I headed out the door, throwing a 'love you' over my shoulder before closing the door.
I had never really been that much of a popular guy so it was not a surprise when a popular jock came strolling up and hit me in the shoulder, his little arm candy on his side, and walked off.
I never got what that young boy saw in that jock. The guy was cruel and mean but that didn't seem to stop him from being with him.
Dan Howell. Small, pastel-loving, annoying Dan Howell. I didn't like him from what I've heard about him.
My group of friends were quietly leaning against the wall and waiting for me so we could turn in our trip cash and get on the bus.
"Yo! Phil! Your mom cave?" Peej, my annoyingly funny best friend, yelled across the way
I chuckled at him. "Obviously." I pulled out the money and waved it in their direction. "Let's get this trip started!"
I hopped onto the bus, aware of the fact that I was being watched. I didn't really come on these trips often.
I found a completely empty seat and sat down. Peej and Chris were on a different bus. I rested my head on the cool window and dozed off.
When I woke up, everyone was singing to some new song that was popular. I sat up quick, almost hitting the person next me.
A short squeak came from a small, hunched over, pink figure as my hand barely grazed the top of his head.
"Dan?" Was all I could manage.
He looked up at me, his big brown eyes boring into my soul and his flower crown complimenting his facial features.
God, he looked good.
I almost didn't notice the bruise poking out of the neck of his sweatshirt.
