TBND (Chap 1)

"Ok, Jass, truth or dare?" my best friend Mia Gonzales asked, grinning.

I'd been picking truth for quite a while so my choice was quite obvious.

"DARE!" I shouted.
"Lol, ok. I expected a truth since...ya know," said my other best friend, Austin Jacobs, winking at me.

I blushed a bit but quickly looked down to cover it up. My wolf, Sapphire, groaned in disapproval.

-I know, Sapph, he's not our mate. Besides, I'm not gonna tell him i have a teeny crush on him. It'll ruin our friendship. But he's so....special-

I cringed a bit at how cliche that sounded.

-Yes, I know, Jass. How can you be sure he even likes you back, though huh? Please, let's just wait for our mate?- Sapphire pleaded.

Ok, here's the thing, I haven't found my mate yet and neither have Austin and Mia.

I'm one of the rarest werewolves in the world. My wolf is snow white and has emerald green eyes- my normal eye-colour except much brighter.

Mia, is a petite, gorgeous girl with blonde, almost white hair, blue eyes and a beautiful white smile.

Austin has dark brown hair and greenish blue eyes. He's also tall and super cute.

We're all from the Half Moon Pack though we don't live in the pack house.

I'm not really close to our Alpha but I heard he has a son?

"Hellooo? Earth to Jassete?!" I hopped out of my train of thought, looking at Mia.

"Huh? What?" I mumbled.

"I saaaid, I've figured out what your dare is gonna be," she said with a mischievious glint in her eye.

Oh boy, this is gonna be bad...

"Yes?" I asked slowly, eyeing her suspiciously.

"I dare you to go next-door, wearing nothing but a towel and ask for a bar of soap." she said, laughing.

"I hate you for this. And, which house? The one on the left or the right?"

"On the left." Mia said, smirking. "Umm, nobody lives there anymore remember?" I said.

She just looked at me as if I have 3 heads.

"What?" I asked.

"Oh Jass, I don't even know what...you're so...ok, please tell me you knew about the new hottie who moved in there today and that you just forgot or something because I swear to Goddess, if you d-"

"What hottie?" I asked her, giving her a questioning, confused look.

Lol, she looked like she was gonna faint.

"On our way over here to hang out with you, we saw some dude next door. Mia was practically drooling," Austin said, looking up from the videogame he was playing.

"To be honest, he isn't even that good-looking," he added scoffing, sounding annoyed.

Wow...he really must be good-looking...

"Sometimes I wonder whether you're even a teenage girl like the rest of us," Mia said playfully, nudging me.

I was about to argue but she spoke first. "C'mon, let's get you ready for your dare."

I was dragged into my room.

It's quite large with a joined bathroom. Perks of living in a mansion.

I quickly went in there making sure to use my longest towel. -Let's go then- i mindlinked Mia.

Austin chose to stay behind, too busy playing my brother's GTA

I felt my heart ache a bit when i thought of my brother. I miss him so much.

I snapped out of it when i realised we were by my new neigbour's door.

I took a deep breath."Ok,  here goes nothing," I mumbled, knocking on the door.

We waited. I knocked again, a little bit louder. "Hm, they're probably sleeping. Guess, we better head back," I said, feeling relieved as i turned to look at Mia behind me.

My relief- it didn't last long bacause i then heard the door open.

Mia looked behind me and her bright blue eyes widened, her jaw dropping.

She DIED! (Joking guys!)

That's when the most amazing smell hit me...
