BEI KUANGSHU didn't feel like going to school, although it was a Friday and she liked her classes on this day. Her first period was Maths after that Chinese and then a two periods of Politics and then again two periods History.

These were mostly all of her favourite periods and all of them on one day. She liked that the day went by quickly and school ended at 2pm which was quite rare.

She decided to get up and get ready for school. She felt the urge to go since it's the last day before the weekend anyways and today are her favourite periods.

She swung her bag over her shoulder and went to school with heavy steps still thinking about turning around and going home doing nothing. She'd get the notes from Hinata or Hanbin anyways.

She didn't feel like meeting Baekhyun nor his friends today. She didn't want to be a toy and air to people. I mean, all of Baekhyun's friends have opinions and a personality. What makes her so different that she has to be picked on?

Tears started to form in her eyes and she quickly tried to keep them back by thinking about one the students she really admired at her school. Lu Han was someone she really liked. He was a really kind boy and also one with good grades. He didn't ever seem to be stressed. He always seemed calm not angered by anybody. He often got picked on by Baekhyun's group for being Chinese but he only smiled at them which only provoked them even more.

Kuangshu knew Lu Han. Not pretty well but kind of since they had Chinese period together and both were Chinese. They were the top students and always had fights about who was the best when they wrote exams. But they helped each other. They always pulled themselves up, wanting to be the best.

But the conversation they had only consisted of

"Looks like I'm better than you." or "Can you send me the notes today?" and that's about it. Still she admired Lu Han for being who he is and being accepted like that.

Because she was never accepted for who she was.

She stood in front of the gates from her school. "Fuck it, I'm going home.", she muttered in Chinese, under her breath.

"Why?", a male voice asked in Chinese. She flinched and quickly turned around spotting Lu Han and another guy behind her. "I'm not feeling well.", she explained, again in Chinese. Lu Han nodded and looked at the other guy who just shrugged. "Ah, Kuangshu, this is Wen Junhui.", Lu Han introduced him. Kuangshu looked at him, scanning him from head to toe, until she noticed that he was the guy who was staring at her yesterday.

"I know him alr-" She got cut off by another voice. "Oh, hey Chinese club! You can start talking Korean now or are you too dumb, Kuangshu?", Baekhyun shouted from a distance. She heard people chuckle and she felt like crying again. She started making her way to her home again but Junhui stopped her by grabbing her wrist. "Come on. You have to show them that you are strong. You're not alone. You have your Chinese club!" Junhui ended his sentence and winked at her, making her laugh.

She never heard the sentence that she's not alone. She was really happy about it and felt like hugging Junhui.

Junhui put his arm around her shoulder whilst going in. Junhui wanted to give her the feeling that she wasn't alone and Kuangshu felt better. Junhui knew because she was looking up, facing people and not facing the floor while she was walking. Junhui smiled to himself and was happy that he made Kuangshu happy.

They passed Baekhyun and his group and Junhui shot them a smirk, Lu Han waved and Kuangshu smiled to herself. She loved picking on Baekhyun and making him mad.

Baekhyun and Kuangshu are alike. They are both the type who wants to take control and tries to enforce their ideas. That's why they can't work together and can't stand each other. Just that Baekhyun had more friends and turned almost everyone against her.

This had been a hard time for her. When she came home, she used to cry all the time and take pills to sleep. She was frightened of being alone. She always wanted to be strong and managed to act like she was in school but when she came home she used to have daily-breakdowns.

She eventually calmed herself down and started to live with the fact that people started leaving her.

She was lonely and that was one of her biggest fears.

Junhui walked Kuangshu to her first class and started to hold Kuangshu's hand and squeezed it. Kuangshu frowned not knowing what Junhui was doing.

"Kuangshu, remember one thing. Life goes on. Pain will end. Don't worry too much, please." Junhui smiled and patted her head, running to his class because he was late already. Kuangshu only laughed because of his foolishness.
