So today he told me he kissed his crush. Well, she kissed him, he kissed back. I did not know how to react. A variety of emotions coursed through me, but none jealousy. I mean, I hope not. I didn't recognize it, really.
She told him something very dear to her and sad, and she started crying. So they proceeded to hug. This was a surprising fact--considering that he didn't feel comfortable hugging his own family. So she just kissed him. I was never one that was casual around some thirteen-year-olds kissing, and I always hated people who did that. But I guess he's an exception.
He always seems to be an exception.
Everything he does is connected to what I don't approve of, to what I'm uncomfortable with. But he's my best friend, of course I have to make exceptions for something this little.
He's considering asking her out. He didn't say it straight out, but I asked him and he said "idk, she just broke up with ****" which means that he wants to date her. I've never even talked to the girl! I see no point in dating in elementary school when it most likely will not last at all. Experience, sure. If you actually do things! It's kind of weird and unbelievable that he wants to date, but it's just how we were raised differently.
How many more exceptions do I have to make for him?
