You're Still The One

CHAPTER 2

Lucy's POV

I woke up everyday at 5 o'clock in the morning to go for a run. It's my daily routine. I went to my closet to grab my clothes which consists of black sports bra, undies and black running shorts. I went into the bathroom to get ready. After change I grab my pink running shoes and wear it. I made a beeline to my dressers and mirrors to check myself and i tie my hair up  into a high ponytail. I grab my iPhone and earphone. I listen to one direction song 'olivia' and set it to shuffle mode. I made my way out of the door carefully not to make noise that would probably wake my roommate / best friend Hailey.

After running for like an hour I stopped at the park to catch my breath. I sighed heavily. Then out of nowhere my stomach grumble and I chuckle. I made my way to this amazing Beans 'n Cream Cafe. I promise you they made an amazing coffee and delicious pancakes and waffles. Yum. I'm a regular customer there. 

I entered the cafe and made my way to the counter. 

"Good morning dear, what can I get you?"  Anne said with a teasing smile . She is in her late 40's and she's like a mother to me. She knew damn well what I want.

"Good morning Anne and you know the usual" I said while grinning. I pay her before I went to find a seat near the window. The view is breathtaking as always. I busy myself checking my facebook I didn't see that the waitress placed my orders. I thanked her. I think her name is Eve. I moan at the smell of this amazing pancakes and waffles. 

After 10 minutes I left the cafe and heading to our apartment which is 4 blocks away from the cafe. I opened the door carefully not to make a noise since Hailey is probably still sleeping. I placed her breakfast in the counter and made my way in my room. 

I strip off my sweaty clothes to take a shower. Hot water relaxes my stiff and tense muscle. After 20 minutes I feel relaxed and I grab two towels. One is wrap around my body and the other one is for my hair. I changed into my white tank top and comfortable sweat pants. I make myself comfortable in my bed ready to read my favorite novel  "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. I didn't notice that Hailey is standing in my room her hands on her hip. 

"Good morning Luce" She said with a smile. Okay, there must be something she wants...

"Good morning?" I said it more like a question.

"There's this-" I didn't listen to her because i know she's into something and I probably won't like it.

"Are you even listening to me?" Hailey snapped. I try to ignore her and start reading my novel again when suddenly Hailey throw a pillow at my face.

"What the fuc-" I was interrupted by her.

"Shut up! Now that I finally got your attention, as I was saying we are invited to Tracy's birthday." I interrupted her.

"Oka--"

"Listen, i want us to go, please?" she begged.

"No"

"Please" 

"No"

"Please" then she put on that puppy dog eyes and is now pouting. I don't look at her because I know I will just fall for it. Okay, I can't resist her with that face. I'm really curious why did she suddenly silent. When I looked at her she's doing the puppy dog eyes and is about to cry..

"Fine" I told her.

"YES!" She squeal. Suddenly she hug me so tight.

"I-I can't br-breath" 

"Sorry" She said grinning.

"So when was this party? and where?" I asked.

"6 in the evening in The Roxy Club" She said while eyeing me and pouting.

I sigh. I think I just troubled myself. Ugh.

"Wow Luce, you look hot" Hailey said when I went out of the bathroom. I blushed. 

"No Hailey, you are hot" I said eyeing her outfit. Hailey is wearing a red strapless dress that reached her midtigh and her make up is flawless. She wear her hair in an elegant bun. 

While I wore a blue dress that reached above the knee. And it shows a little bit of my cleavage because the dress has a v-neckline. The dress hugs my curves and it compliments my eyes. My make up is flawless to. Hailey did my make-up & I wore read lipstick and smokey eye. I look myself in my full length mirror and gasp. Who is this girl? I said out loud.

"You, silly" Hailey laughed.

"Hailey, where are we going?" I asked her.

"Club" Hailey told me in a duh tone.

"I know, but there's a line" I told her while gripping her arm.

"Silly, I know the bouncer" 

We reached the bounce and they let us in without any question and informed us that Tracy's party is in a VIP room. When we reached the VIP room we are greeted by our circle of friends. I search for Tracy and greeted her. 

After an hour Hailey and I went downstairs and into the dance floor but I told her I'm not in the mood to dance. I made a beeline to the bar and order a drink. I saw a gorgeous man sitting three bar stool away from me. I saw a girl that probably a slut, she wore a super short red dress that shows a lot of cleavage and little to the imagination that if she bent down a little you will see what color her undies is, she then made her way toward him swaying her hips trying to be seductive and he looked annoyed. I bet that slut is trying hard to get the gorgeous man's attention. Poor slut but serves her right. Like seriously, don't she have dignity left in her? The slut whisper something to his ear and the gorgeous man stood up and made his way to the other side of the bar. I bet that slut can't take a hint. I smile at that. I also take that as my cue and made my way toward him. I look at him clearly and my heart stopped. There before me is a man, a gorgeous man at that. I think he is about 6'1 in height and he's about 24 or 25 years old, I'm not sure. He has a strong jawline, he has stubble that looks good on him, he look hot. And not to mention his lips and his ocean blue eyes. I am hypnotize by how blue and gorgeous his eyes. And his chest, arm and broad shoulders. I bet he have 6 pack abs beneath those suit. He might be a model.

Now I believe in love at first sight. But how is that possible to fall in love with basically a stranger?  That is beyond me. My heart is beating wildly I thought it will comes out of my chest. I start a conversation to him, i don't know but I did. There's something about this man that drew me to him. And when he finally looks at me, my breathing hitch. He just stares at me for like 1 minute straight. Then he stares at my lips. I took that as my cue to leave because I don't want to do something I'll regret later on. I want to kiss him to know what it feel his lips against mine. I want to taste him. 

  "I have to go, i need to find my best friend somewhere" I said in a rush.

He is about to open his mouth but i took off and left him there.
