Soo....

Anyone seen Nick and Norah's Infinite Pllaylist? I was cracking up while watching it last night. I really liked Norah's best friend...I really am bad at names, I'll watch the entire movie and then, I won't even remember the main character's name. Is it bad?

CHAPTER 7

The entire day I was only thinking about ways of how I could get rid of David. But, alas, it all went in vain. Pitiful, isn't it.

Anyway, I was just having a chat with Oliver, who also happened to be in the Dance. Apparently, he hated his partner too!

"Alice, trust me, I hate my partner, in mean she just cannot dance. I wonder why Jack selected her. "

All riiiight....

Suddenly, this thought struck my head. Oliver wasn't happy with his dance partner,and neither was I. That means- YES!! I could definitely convince him to inter-change partners. I matched unto Oliver's height and Kate was more or less as tall as me, so she could match unto David's. And I bet, she won't give up the opportunity to dance with HIM.

"Hey Oliver, u was thinking about something. Why don't we inter-change partners, I mean you are not happy with Kate and I am nit happy with David. What say?"

I prayed that he would agree. His eyes widened. wow! Now I am sure I was gonna get rejected.

"I thought you two were...umm..dating?" He confusedly whispered.

I couldn't help but burst into my laughter.

"What's so funny?"

"Apparently, I can't (laugh) believe it(laugh). (uncontrable laughter) (after I calm down,) People could link me with anyone else. Why him? (hysterical laughter this time) it's soo funny (laugh) I cannot even help it!"

"Oh, Anyway, I don't really have any problem.I'm cool with it," He smiled.

"Oh thanks," It was a genuine one. He had no idea what he done to me. He saved me from that dog, rather bitch of a David.

Obviously, he did not realize it.

The practices began next week. By then, I had made up my mind that I will not mess with that dog anymore. But, it went all in vain. I had no idea what was coming up next. He had almost all of his classes with mine, like biology , English etc. I kept away from him whenever and wherever possible. My thoughts about him when I first saw him was wrong! Extremely wrong! Whenever I think about him, I curse myself and mentally kick myself in the ass. How could I even think about such a stinking dog? He was the worst person to be born on Earth.

The day of the first practice was coming closer and closer, and as close it came, and I don't know why, i was getting more and more scared and nervous. Finally that day arrived, and I still could not think why I was getting so scared.

"All right, I want all seven of you, to come for practice regularly, and put in some effort...." Jack kept on talking. Stupid senior! He was one of the dancers of course. He and his girlfriend, Rebecca were showing us a few moves, which were pretty easy. They showed us the entire dance, and I found it easy. Sure, there were a few lifts and such, which I don't think Oliver could manage it with me.

We begun our practices. Oliver and I, Jack with Rebecca, Alex with Selina, and David with Kate. We were well co-ordinated.

"Cool guys, now for the lift. One, two three and.." Jack said when THUMP!!

I fell down, my back hurt, and my neck too.

"Oi Alice, are you okay? I think you need to go the nurse immediately. " Jack sounded worried.

"Don't worry, I think i will handle it," It seemed as if it was David's voice. He whispered this, so I couldn't hear. Next thing I know, I am in David's arms. They were warm and damn, he smelled nice!

'Damn Alice, stoo being such a girl' I thought.

I saw David's worried face above me. What the..? David was worried? He actually worried? I thought that he had no emotions. Why? And if this was because of me, then why did he even bother?

Whatever! Maybe had some problem at home or something.

We reached the nurse, the applied the necessary ointments and advised me to sleep. After a long sleep, and feeling a lot better, I saw David sitting next to me.nas soon as he saw, he same to me in a second.

"are you okay? Have you recovered? Do you need water or something?" He said it at one go.

I just stared at him... Wasn't he the guy because of whom I was hospitalized? Wasn't it because of him that I could not go to school for an entire week? Didn't he probably curse me every second of his life?

"No, it's all right....thank you"

"I was..umm.. Just trying to help you... Coz I was just..." He paused, before adding "I felt guilty, Alice, for whatever I did..." he said with a puppy dog face. At that time, a teenie meenie part of my heart said that he was not lying, but I just could not believe him. Instead of answering or telling him ,I got up and walked away. I heard him calling my name but I did not, rather, I could not turn around and face him.

The next day jack summoned me and told me that Oliver could not lift me, and others were all comfortable with their partners. So he resolved that I would have to be partnered with David. He told me thatvhe could lick me up, and he thought that we looked cute together.

CUTE, MY FOOT!!

Well, I realized the problems now. If David and I were partnered together, I knew very well, that if we two were together, there has to be some dispute.

FOR SURE!!
