Galatea often visited the fields just to see Acis.

"Acis, do you admire someone?"

"Yes I do."

Galatea was heart broken.

"I've fallen for her actually..."

She was about to sob but...

"That maiden caught my heart the moment I saw her Galatea. I think I'm in love with her."

"That maiden's so lucky to be loved by a fair lad like you Acis."

Acis smirked.

"I think I'm in love with you Galatea. You caught my thoughts and my heart not just because of your mesmerizing beauty."

"Oh Acis, as do I. I've fallen for you. I love you..."

"Galatea, my love. I'll do anything for you..."

Acis held Galatea's smooth cheeks and gave her a gentle kiss on her nose.

"You are as sweet as the fragrant flowers in this field Galatea..."

"And you're as strong and fair as the waves of  the sea my beloved Acis..."

It was getting dark and Galatea must go back to the sea.

"My sweet Acis, I must leave you for now..."

"Where are you going? Stay with me, oh fair Galatea."

"I must go back to the sea. I promise to return tomorrow..."

"I'll accompany you back to the shores..."

"No Acis, Polyphemus  might see you. Stay here, for you to be safe..."

Acis kissed her forehead and Galatea rushed back to the shore.

She saw Polyphemus.

"Galatea, please stay..."

She rushed and jumped to the sea.

Polyphemus thought that he might have scared Galatea because of his looks.
