Percy's PoV

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Um. Percy you want to introduce us to your friend here?" Izza asked.

"Not really no," I replied.

"I'm Percy's cousin Ni-" Nico started to say, before I cut him off.

"I'm going to talk to my cousin," I said pulling him into a different room closing the door.

"What are you doing here Nico?!"

"I needed a break from Per-"

"Your stepmom?" I cut him off.

"Yes, she threatened to turn me into-"

"Foster care?"

"Percy, what is up with you? You're uptight more than usual," Nico commented.

"Nico the Mist is gone the gods are revealed," I whispered in his ear.

"Oh. She threatened me with daffodils. DAFFODILS!"

"Calm down," I said as I opened the door.

"Okay guys this is my cousin Nico, he's originally from Italy," I introduced him.

"Question! How did he get in here? The door was locked," Abigail asked.

"Sally er, Mrs. Jackson let me in."

"And why isn't she here now?" Lily asked.

"She went to the store," I fibbed.

"Okay let's start on our project," Jake said.

"Oh Styx, I forgot to write down Poseidon's Roman name. I'll just Google it," Izza said pulling out her phone.

"It's Neptune, don't need to use your phone," Nico and I cut in at the same time.

"Okay...." Izza said as her phone started to ring. "It's my mom, I need to get this."

"NO!!" Nico and I shouted, "No phones!" I said as we started to back away.

"Hey mom, I'm at Percy's House doing a project. He just got back from a cruise and I'll be home by 10. Bye," Izza said hanging up her phone.

"You guys want to go pick up some snacks?" I asked trying to get out of the house.

"But we need to get this project started," Lily protested.

"Okay me and Nico will be right back then," I said dragging Nico outside with me.

"Please tell me you can shadow travel without turning into a shadow."

"Of course I can," Nico retorted back.

"What did Will say?"

"He said I could. Gods Percy."

"Central Park then. Let's get some pretzels," and with that we disappeared into a shadow.
