Laila apologized for Hunter's behavior, I didn't care what he did. He's in no way a problem for me. Laila obviously doesn't care for him in a sexual sense and so I'll be fine. I've changed my mind, she's definitely the type I'm looking for, and I'm sure there won't be an issue making her mine. She hurried off after Hunter and I sat there pleased with myself, a new goal on my mind.
I stood up and dismissed myself from the table we had been sitting at, walking to my next class, in no rush to get there. 17 Crimes by AFI was blasting through my headphones when I felt a hand on my shoulder, the grip was light, almost like a feather.
I slowly turned around to face who the hand belonged to and just as I expected, it was Laila. Her eyes, I hadn't noticed them when we first met, they were a deep baby blue with depth and meaning, something that seems like it would have a story to tell, a long and sorrowful but different story. It was really hot, to be honest. She started speaking after a little bit of silence.
"I'm sorry about Hunter," she spit out, "he didn't mean to be rude."
"Don't worry about it," I smirked, "I was actually thinking you would be the first to ask that question."
She blushed and I went to put my headphone back in before she stopped me. She looked into my eyes for a little bit and I could've sworn she was going to kiss me, but she didn't.
"Well," she paused for a minute like she didn't know what to say, "text me tonight, okay?"
I smiled, "Alright, I will."
She seemed content with my answer and then she removed her hand from mine and left. I put my other earbud and she left my mind wondering if she would've kissed me.
