A father's tale -Sasuke-

Chapter 3

"If I were to banish ..... Would you still love me?"

Sasuke paused; closing his book; he laid down next to his wife; holding her close to his semi-cold body."If you were to banish like just like thin air, I would follow you"

She locked eyes with him."What if you couldn't follow me?"

He stared at her sad eyes for brief seconds, tucking behind her ear a loose strand of hair."I would love you until my last breath"

Her eyes got watery and Sasuke grew worried.He kissed away the formed tears in her eyes."What's wrong?"

She rested her head on his cool chest and closed her eyes."Just holding me like this...... makes me so happy"

Sasuke placed his hand on her head and began to gently stroke it."Sleep, you need your rest."

"Sing me to sleep......please" she said softly.

"How about a rap?" he asked with a smirk.

Hinata began to giggle."But Sasuke, you don't know how to rap?"

He hugged her tight." There's that cute laugh I wanted to hear."

She smiled softly."Come on sing for me"

Sasuke kissed her forehead lightly."What would you like me to sing?"

"Sasuke, wake up!" Itachi said, as he smacked his brother's head with rolled up papers.

Sasuke abruptly sat up from his chair, quickly surveying his surroundings."What happened? I just closed my eyes for a second."

His brother rolled his eyes at him."Two hours aren't a second Sasuke."

"Two hours!" Sasuke exclaimed as he stood up. He should be home by now, Kisuke was waiting for him. How could he have fallen asleep for so long?

"Sit down" Itachi said rather loud,restraining himself from smacking his younger brother again.

Sasuke slumped down into his chair, slowly rubbing his tired eyes with his fingers."Sorry, I didn't realize how tired I've been lately."

Taking a seat next to his brother, Itachi crossed his arms to his chest."You should have stayed home, I can handle this kind of meetings on my own."

"No, I don't want to burden you anymore" Sasuke disagreed.

"You not being here isn't a burden to me. I have to be here anyways, you have a son that needs you at home right now. Don't try to do everything alone you fool, you have me here. What are big brothers for, am here when you need me. Now more than ever." Itachi said more kindly as he squeezed Sasuke's shoulder lightly .

Sasuke looked away. His brother just knew what to say to make him feel better, but there was no way he would ever confess that to him. Just how he would never confess when he needed help, his prideful self would not let him. That was just how he was.
