As Zach got down from his car, he checked himself out one last time. He was wearing blue jeans and a black tight Beatles t-shirt that showed the outline of his abs. He wore blue and white sneakers.

Zack walked toward the school door, as he fixed his slightly wet blonde hair. He had the biggest grin on his face, remembering last night. Amazing. He thought to himself. He would now be the new ‘’talk’’ of Wester High.

He was steps away from the school door when suddenly, BANG!

He fell to the ground. He regained his balance and saw that he had bumped into a girl. She was on her feet now and picking up the books that fell from her hand. She looked up with her beautiful blue eyes, and slowly whispered the word,

“Sorry”.

Zack was still staring at her eyes. They were nothing like all the eyes he had seen. She picked the last of her books, and she left, before Zack could say anything. He tried stopping her but it was too late.

Vanessa ran for the girl’s bathroom as soon as she entered the school door. She ran towards one of the bathroom stalls and stayed there until she could regain her senses. She was blushing. She couldn’t stop frowning at herself, and thinking how she was so stupid, to just randomly bump into a guy.

‘Who was he?’ she thought to herself.

Vanessa finally was able to regain herself and went outside of the bathroom.

“Zack, could I talk to you?” a girl walked up to Zack as he was taking books out of his locker.

“Yeah, sure Judith. Go on.” Zack closed the locker door and attentively listened to her.

“So I was thinking, how about we go and watch a movie and afterwards I can help you with your homework. I know how you have a hard time.”

“Yeah sure. That would be amazing.”

“So when do you want a go?”

“In your dreams, Judith Farrow!”, boomed a voice from behind. Zack turned around to see who it was. Samantha. She came next to Zack and put her arm around him, showing possession. “The answer to your question is never. Well, probably because Zack is mine and,” Samantha paused “because you are, what can I say, fat, ugly, mess and unwanted.” Samantha emphasized on the last three words.

Judith walked away, silently crying.

“Somebody didn’t have to be so rude.” Zack said to Samantha, as Judith walked away. “Well, it’s probably because I don’t like sharing.” Samantha leaned in and wrapped her arms around him, and gently whispered the words “And because last night was just too special.”

A sensation went down Zack’s neck. He looked up and grinned. “Anyways” Samantha took back, and asked “How do you like my outfit?” She revealed her body showing off a pink mini skirt, with a white top, that showed her belly. She had her hair tied up in a ponytail. And wore shiny lip-gloss.

“Perfect” Zack grinned. Looking at Samantha from top to bottom.

“Well, tell me something I don’t know.” Samantha said. “Anyways, there’s a pool party at my house today, so be there!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be there” Zack replied.

“See you later. I have to go look for Kylie, to make the final preps.” Samantha said as she kissed Zack on the lips and walked away.

Vanessa walked to her locker door and took her book out. She turned to find, everyone in groups of two or three, talking about all the things that happened to them yesterday. She was the only one who was alone. She would eat lunch alone. Walk home alone. And study alone. She was one of the most popular girl in middle school, but when high school started she realized she was no one.

Vanessa went to her class, she had first period Geography, one of the subjects she hated. She couldn’t concentrate at all. Not because she didn’t like Geography, but because she couldn’t stop thinking about the guy she bumped into. Who was he?
