I am from pickle jars,
And from Hersey's Chocolate bars.
~
I am from the Japanese Lilac
(Broken, attacked
Chopped in half)
~
I am from my many pets,
My Toostie cat
That is always hiding
In places that you would laugh at.
~
I'm from a gentle teasing and old jokes,
From Boxcar children and the Bible.
~
I'm from my grandpa, Robert,
From a single parent but loved by both.
~
I'm from a cabin by the lake,
Where my summers do stay,
And of sunburns and rhubarb.
~
I am from the Leo zodiac and the Chinese Rat,
From pop, no... All music at that.
~
I am from my Grandpa's golf clubs
Gained over time.
And the craftiness that my Grandma still has.
~
I'm from paper memories
In tubs on my shelves of my room
And from letters or cards in an old shoe box.
~
I'm from the laughs that we had,
And the ones that we shared,
From all the people that cared.

PoetryThe poems of love, hate, glee, and sadness. These are the poems I have made over time since age 9. I write them to let my feelings be free. I'm not sure if I'm any good but I will keep writing.
