Cyd's POV
"Huh? Where am I?" I asked. "Shh, go to sleep." A man said. "Dad?" I asked. "Yes, it's me. Now go to sleep. It'll be all over soon." He told me. "Whh?" I asked. Before I could say anything else, I got knocked out.
Narration
After Cyd got knocked out, her father called over a scientist. "Barry, get me the brainwashing serum." He said. "Yes sir." Barry said excitedly. "Now, I know that you're excited to see a real scientist at work. But since you're an apprentice.. and, this is my daughter, I'll handle this experiment.. well, brain wash." Cyd's dad said. "Yes Mr. Ripley." Barry said. "Barry, out of the lab, you call me Mr. Ripley. In the lab, you call me Proffesor or Doctor Ripley." Mr. Ripley said. "Sorry sir." Barry appologized. "That's alright Barry. Now, I need complete concentration." Mr. Ripley said as he put the serum carefully into Cyd's neck, making sure he didn't hurt her. Cyd groaned, "Shelby." "Done." Mr. Ripley said. "Dr. Ripley, why are you doing this again?" Barry asked fascinated. "I don't like that Shelby girl. She doesn't seem like a good influence on Cyd. I don't know, I just don't feel right about her. Anyways, they always say, 'Trust your gut' and that's what I'm going to do." Mr. Ripley explained. "Ok sir." Barry said.
A few minutes after the serum got injected into her neck, Cyd started to wake up a bit, but not completely. She groaned "Shelby" during the process. "What does this serum do again sir?" Barry asked. "It will erase or damage her memory of Shelby. Right now, all of her memories are being edited and she is seeing them right now." "Then why is she strapped to a table?" Barry asked. "Sometimes, the dreams make the person actually move as if the dream were in real life. The straps are to make sure that she doesn't fall of, damaging the serum and keeping it from working." Me. Ripely explained. Then Cyd woke up.
