"Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle."
                              -Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Mara grabbed on to Pietro letting her  hair flow from the speed of the boy. Until she couldn't stand the smell of their blood, "Unless you want to die, you might want to let me go."

She flashed a smile at the twins, Pietro stopped and let her down. "I'll find you, later."

She examined her surroundings, she was in a town. A smirk was placed on her lips, "perfect."

-------

Mara strutted down the street with a new attitude. After spending a night in a hotel. She had dyed her hair back to its half pink half blonde state. She had also gotten a pink cupcake dress.

And to think, she only had to kill about 15 people to get what she wanted.

A sly smile worked it's way onto her face because she was free. Free to do whatever she wanted. She wasn't planning on going back to meet the twins. She was actually planning on settling down on a remote island, and acquiring diamonds. After all they are a girls best friend.

Mara's constant footsteps stopped as she saw a familiar face about twenty feet in front of her. Her eyes grew wide, and a large gap-toothed smile came to her face. "I remember you! You're Steve, right?"

She took steps towards him, "I didn't really get a good look at your face the other day."

"Mara Thorn, I have been instructed I bring you with me." His voice made her giggle, he was so serious.

She continued walking until she stood directly in front of the captain. "Oh, we both know that you'll never beat me, we have the same powers, but mine are stronger."

She eyed his muscles, "But, because I'm feeling generous, I'll go with you." Her gaze moved up to his face,  "or maybe I'm just going with you because you're hot."

Noticing the slight pink on his cheeks she cooed, "Don't be embarrassed Captain."

Mara held her hands out with a cheeky smile, "You going to cuff me, captain?"

Steve, who obviously was still weary of her, slowly walked toward her. His hand reached for hers, but before he could grab it her hand moved and touched his neck. When he went to move, he found himself stuck.

"Captain, I didn't expect you to be so gullible." Mara softly spoke to him while circling his frozen body, "This should wear off in about thirty minutes, giving me enough time to escape."

Mara poke his nose, "And enough time for you to think of a better plan to bring me in."  She slowly leaned in and kissed his cheek, "Until next time Captain, maybe next time you could take me out on a date before you take me in."

She sent a wink his way before taking off in a sprint down the road.
