Chelsea

They said to me that he would come out of the coma back in September.

He didn't.

Here I find myself dressed in black in the midst of November, snowflakes setting self on the top of my hair. Two hands are placed on my shoulders.

"Are you ready?" Simon asks, I will never be ready, yet I nod my head.

We head to the church, slow paced and full of grief. Friends and family were all there. My brother Josh turned around in my direction and took my hand. The other was already held by Simon.

They guide me to a seat in the front row but I told them that I want to see the casket up close. It was one of those open ones, where you could see inside. I knew that Mitch was in there, this was his funeral of course.

The coma lasted so long that they cut him off of his life support. The liars.

We went to the coffin, it was empty.

"What-" I'm confused. I start hearing Simon going its okay, and he was shaking me.

But when I looked at him, he was just staring.

But he was shaking me? I can feel him-

I wake up.

"It's okay!" He says as I gasp and cry.

"Mitch is coming home today Chelsea. We're gonna get him." He tells me.

"No, Mitch is dead."

"What? Mitch isn't dead." He looks at me, "You were dreaming."

"Really?"

"Really. Alright look, you can question your dreams but you cant question what's real. And I think you wanna get Mitch with us so if you wanna get changed or roll in your pajamas it's up to you but you need to get your butt up and out." He tells me, pretty directly if i'm honest.

I walk to my room, right opposite Simons and grab a SDMN tracksuit set and black vans. I'm so vans over converse. The pump on them seals the deal. I also put on a little makeup. This includes my mascara, foundation and my eyebrows. Thats about it. I didn't want to look like a trashbag if i'm hopefully the first thing he sees when he wakes up.

We took just one car, I'm glad because although I love everyone living in the house its just too many and i'd rather do this with the people closest to me, which they understand which is why I love every single one of them.

So it was me, Josh, Simon, Tabby and Jerome that went to visit Mitch. Josh drove.

We got to the hospital and went to his room. He was already awake. About that thing about me being the first thing he sees when he wakes up? We'll forget about that. I'm just really really glad that he's awake.

"Hey bud." Jerome speaks first.

"Hi?" Mitch questions, as if Jerome was a complete stranger.

"How's the Benja doing?" I ask light heartedly.

"What's a B e n g a?" He asks me, "And who are you?"

"Oh no." I whisper.
