You woke up in a bed, completely naked. Everything that happened was completely blurry to you. You go up and walked to the bathroom. You hair was messy and you saw all the bruises on your body, especially on your face. A familiar feeling.
You changed back into your clothes and rushed to the clinic.
“Sorry I’m late Professor Sullivan.”
You put on your lab coat and began entering medical records.
The door opened. Fear instantly rushed through you. You looked up to see Jamie.
It was quiet. You stared at him. And kept staring. You didn’t know whether you were scared of him, or pissed off at him.
“Aww, tsk tsk, if you didn’t try to fight it, you wouldn’t have all these bruises.” He said as he held you waist and cradled your face.
“Leave me alone. Please. I’ll pay you, okay?”
“No. You and I both know that you can’t afford that.”
You pushed him away from you and grabbed your purse.
“You have to get out of here, okay? I don’t want to talk to you, see you and even breathe the same air as you.”
You tried to walk out the door, but he grabbed your wrist. The same way he grabbed your wrist 6 long years ago.
“You owe me and I want to you pay up. Do you understand? I can destroy your life in 2.5 seconds if you don’t—“
The door opened. Jamie dropped his hands.
“Is everything okay?”
It was GD.
“Oh yeah, it’s fine buddy, but me and my girlfriend were having a talk.”
“Should I—“
“No no, I was just leaving. Remember _______.” As he walked out the door.
“What the hell happened to your face?”
“No, don’t worry about it GD.”
“What do you mean don’t worry about it? I came back to talk to you and you have bruises on your face and neck. What the hell happened?”
“GD, we’re not dating so just go.”
“Obviously. You said you didn’t dated.”
“Go, okay? GO! Don’t worry about me!” you screamed as tears poured down your face.
“Did he..”
You couldn’t speak. You were embarrassed. You told GD to leave, for this reason. The reason why you were b r o k e n.
“He did this to you, didn’t he? He hits on you.”
You turned away.
“Is he why you can’t sleep at night?”
You didn’t answer.
“What else did he do?”
You looked up into GD eyes.
“Oh no. No. He didn’t. The hell? Did you tell him no?”
“I told you I was broken. Just go, I’ll be fine.”
“Why is he doing this? If you guys broke up, he shouldn’t be forcing you to do anything.”
“I OWE HIM GD. OKAY. I HAVE A DEBT TO HIM. I DON’T HAVE THE MONEY, SO HE FINDS OTHER WAYS FOR ME TO PAY HIM.”
