No!”

You woke up screaming, as you immediately sat up straight. You grabbed you chest as you tried to regulate your breathing.

“This is why I don’t sleep.” You mumbled to yourself.

You looked around to see GD nowhere. You checked you phone, “ 3:21am”

“He’s probably gone.” You got up and proceeded to the kitchen to get a drink of water.

“What the hell?”

You see GD sitting on your table counter with 3 sandwiches made.

“I got hungry..” said GD

“So you made 3 sandwiches? And you over toasted the bread?”

“What can I say, I like my bread how I like my women, toasted.”

You stood in confusion as you tried to finger out what he meant by that.

You moved towards the fridge and grabbed bottle of water and took a sipped.

“I’m going for a run.”

You moved to your room and change into your yoga pants.

“You run at 3:30am?”

“I have sleeping issues, so running clears my mind.”

You grabbed your keys from the kitchen counter and looked at GD.

“Well.. aren’t you leaving?”

“Boo, I really wanted to stay here so I can panty raid your drawers.”

You gave him a fake smile and grabbed his shirt.

“Let’s go.”

—-

“What’s wrong, you can’t keep up?” you yelled at GD trotted behind you

“You’ve- running- for—-40—- straight——-I’m—-exhausted.”

You slowed your running into a slow jog and then started walking.

“Damn. You’re really in shape.”

“What can I say; I can’t sleep almost every night, so I go running.”

“Why is that?”

“I’ve had.. some troubles.”

“Really? What kind—“

“Race you to that tree!”

You began running, not because you wanted to race GD, but because you didn’t want to tell him. The reason you can’t sleep at night, the reason you push relationships way. The reason you are you. You don’t want to bombard him with useless feelings that he probably won’t care about. For God sakes, he’s an Idol. Why should he care?

Once you both made it to the tree, GD grabbed your wrist.

“I’m not stupid, so I know when something is bothering some one and you never answered my question.”

“You know, I don’t want to talk about this. I shouldn’t have to either. I don’t even know you.”

“But I want to know you.” He said as he cradled your face

“No, you don’t. I’m broken. Everything about me is broken. I’ll never be more that a piece of ass or a pretty face.”

“If you let me know—“

“No no no. I’m not doing that again. I’ve hear this line before. “Blah blah, you want to know me, I’m special, beautiful, sexy?” And then you get what you want from me right? One night with, not me, but my BODY and then you just move on. On to the next one, right? You’ll tell everyone, “Oh I score on that black girl!” right?  And remind everyone that I’m not human, that I’m just an object, with no morals right? You must be damned if you think I’m going to let you do that. That’s why you wanted me to be your fake girl friend right? Not again. Not me.”

You could feel the tear fall down your face. Why were you crying? You didn’t know.

Your breathing started to get heavier and heavier. You moved towards the tree and took a seat.

“I’m not going to be used. I refuse. I won’t let you.”

You quickly wiped the tears off your face and looked at GD.

“I’m not falling for it. So go find someone else, okay? I’m dumb for letting you bribe me into doing this fake girlfriend thing.”

You got up and began jogging back home.
