"Beatriz! Anu toh?" Sigaw saken ni Dad

"Ahm Sir, A-application for ACET ko po" Ako

"And the Course youll taking is?" Dad

"b-BS Biology po" Ako

"What did i say to you? I said take a Management Course kagaya ng sa kuya mo dahil kayo ang magmamanage ng Company naten, sooner or later!!" Dad na mataas na ang boses.

"Sir with all due respect po, I really want to be a heart surgeon, what specific part of it does you dont understand?" Ako

"Beatriz, what I dont understand is, anu ba ang mahirap na sundin mo na lang ang sinasabi ko! Gusto ko maging business tycoon din kayo ng kuya mo kagaya ko!" Dad

"You know how much I love you as my daughter and I know what is best for you" Dad added

"Okay Sir, here is the Deal. If I passed the ACET as the top 1, hahayaan mo akong ipursue ang gusto ko. And if not, I will take the management course that you wanted me to take" Ako

"Deal! Here's one thing, if you failed to be top 1, sa abroad ka magaaral!" Dad

Napalunok ako dahil 50-50 pa din ako magtop 1 tapos sa ibang bansa? No way. Ill do everything to be number 1.

"Deal" i said and we sealed the deal with a hand shake.

I'm Isabel Beatriz Paras De Leon, In coming BS Biology student only daughter my mother and father have obviously because their siblings are only two and the other is a Boy so im the only daughter and the youngest. From the family of business minded people. Napaliko ata ako dahil, eversince i was a kid, i really wanted to be a doctor. Sipag lamang ata sa pag aaral ang namana ko sa kanila.

Fast Forward ...

Here I am in the School where I will be taking the ACET. Balita ko nagbibigay daw ng scholarship ang school na toh once na 95% and above ang nakuha mong percentage sa exam tapos Top ka pa sa lahat ng kumuha. All in all. As in lahat ng kumuha. Khit ibang course. And the scholarship is up to the end. Meaning, kahit sa Med School na ko, full-scholar pa din ako if in case and that is my goal.

I take the exam. It last morning to evening. It started at 7am up to 7pm. Really tiring. Sabi nung administrator, malelate daw ang magtatop ng pagpasok kase 1 weeks na lng magsisimula na ang pasukan e next week pa daw ang release ng result and 1week pa ulit sa para magayos ng scholarship. Alam nyo ba kung bakit puro Top 1 ang bukambibig ko? Kase, yun tlga ang goal ko. I find the exam not that easy pero kaya ko nman. Im really hoping that i get sa Top 1 slot. I really badly needed it.
I arrived at our house. Sinalubong ako ni Dad na may ngiting nakakaloko at parang ang meaning ay panalo na sya. Im just hoping na wala sya ginamit na koneksyon para hadlangan ang gusto ko. But i know dad, he will never do that. He's my king after all. Hindi lng tlga kami magkasundo pag kurso na ang paguusapan.

"Yeah! Whatever dad. Im going to sleep" at umakyat na ako sa kwarto ko at natulog. Hindi ko na hinintay ang sasabihin nya dahil magaaway lng kmi.

Fast Forward ...
A week later after the exam..

Im kinda nervous, because today ko malalaman ang future ko xD im really really hoping that I passed not just passed but On the Top of the Exam.

I go to the school to see the result. Andami na agad tao kahit 7am pa lang. Excited silang lahat.
I claim my result envelop and go to my car. Nasa labas ako ng kotse ko sa harap ng admission office at hindi ako mapakali dahil hawak ko na ang result ng ilang gabing pagaaral at pagpupuyat ko pra lang dito.

Iniopen ko na ang sobre khit hindi pa ako nakakapasok sa kotse.

And when I opened it..
