Real-life,mermaids, Sirena and Ondina are part of a mermaid pod, which lives in the waters of Mako Island. As young members of the pod, they are usually given tasks to do in the waters,but this task I guess you can say they'll be "Fish Out of Sea"...
"Five more minutes Mom."Lyla said,in a lazy tone of voice and her eyes still close.
We all burst out in laughter,waking up Lyla ,after we had gotten out of the water and dried ourselves off.We were puzzled what Rita was wearing.
"What's that thing covering your legs?"Ondina asked.
"Well they're called pants,land-dwellers wear them."She said,with a bright smile.
"Let's see what you guys can wear while you stay here."She said.
"What about the task?"I asked,with a confused face.
"You'll start the task tomorrow.It's better you get better walking here,than to seem suspicious by the land-dwellers."Rita said,trying to look for clothes for us.
"Oh ,okay"Marina said.
"Ahhah!.Finally here girls,these are all called dresses.Choose anyone you want."Rita said.
"This can take a little while getting use to." We all thought.
"Bye Girls!Oh I almost forgot a land-dweller is coming to deliver some seafood okay."Rita said heading out of the door.
We all gasped saying"Y...o...u kn..ow land-dwellers?"
"Yeah,I teached a whole school of them."Rita said with a chuckle.
We all gasped once more and I said,"So they know your secret?"
"No are you crazy!I just..am... very careful that's all"Rita said looking at the what she calls a 'Watch.'
"Bye girls! Don't leave the house and remember the land-dweller is gonna deliver the food and tell him..."She said not finishing her sentence.
"We know,we're the principal's daughter."We all said together unabling her to finish her sentence,knowing what she was gonna say.
She then smiled at us and left the house ,slamming the door behind of her.
"What ya guys wanna do?"I asked,feeling bored.
"How about Ondina and I go take a swim through the reef and you mermaids stay and do whatever you wanna do,without getting into trouble."I said.
We then dived in and started our swim through the coral reef.
"Last mermaid to the rock is a -----"Ondina said,before she could finish I took off before her.
She then was catching up I decided to go even faster,but something caught my eye before I could finish the race.
There was a shiny figure from behind some seaweeds.
Ondina stopped the race also and thought to ask me why I had stopped.
"Look!"I shouted with amzement.
"They're lockets!"Ondina shouted with astonishment.
"Open it!"She shouted.
I then opened it and we were so fascinated on the picture,we had seen in the locket, when when we looked in the other locket we had the same response.

"Look a mermaid holding her baby."I said, with a soft voice.
"Aww."We said together we then closed the locket. Ondina then placed it over her neck.
Then we observed how the other locket's picture meant.
"This must have been before The Great Under Sea War."I said with amazement,looking at the beautiful, picture.
"See a mermaid and a merman kissing.I really miss the mermen,too bad they're evil now."Ondina said.
"If it wasn't for that trident,we would have all been living as one"I said,with a sad face.
I then closed the locket and placed it over my neck.
Then we swam up and went on a rock,combing our long,30 inches of hair .Talking about our discovery,then headed back to Rita's Mermaid Cave
We were greeted to Lyla and Marina just in time before they could use a spell on the cat.They stopped what they were doing and just as we dried off we were about to tell them they should never had tried to that,when we heard a strange noise coming from the front door.
When we went up to the door we opened it and stared at the boy.
"Hello,who are you guys?"He asked.
"We are the principal's nieces."I said looking at him and him looking at me as if we had fallen in deep love.
"Who are you?"Marina asked.
"Cameron"He said with a smile looking at us.
I whispered to the girls telling them Rita said it was okay to let him in.
He then was invited in and placed the container of food in the fridge,then left with a smile.
We then took the food out the freezer and started to dig in.
"Remember to save some for Rita."Ondina said,reminding us.
We then told the other girls about our discovery and when Rita came we also told her.
"How did you find those lockets?! "She asked,with amazement.
"We were swimming and it caught our eyes."Ondina said.
She told us to never reveal the discovery to any other mermaid of the tribe,or else they would spread the word to whole sea which they would take it as their own.
"How do you know?"I asked her.
"I have found many hidden secrets of the sea,the first one I had told my so called bestfriend ,she spread the word and they took it from me.Everything you see I found all of it and hid it here."
"Oh"We all said,in amazement looking all over her mermaid cave.
