Author's Note

If you're reading this then you've probably finished the whole thing. Congrats on that, and thank you for keeping up with my work!

But if you're reading this because you've skipped the other parts, go back to where you're previously at! That's utterly cheating. 

Anyway, for those who have finished, thank you so so much from the bottom of my numb heart. Lol. This is actually the first story that I've written and have actually finished, and so I'm really sorry if everything is badly written and there are still grammatical errors and the flow of events is not that quite logical. This is my first, and I wrote everything in just two weeks time. And also taking into consideration that during those span of time of my writing session I'm also doing my thesis and was about to have a mock defense.

The reasons why I actually wrote this was 1) I want to get my mind off of uni works and just to divert my attention from the stress clouding my mind; 2) The underlying theme of the whole story which is Forever by Vertical Horizon (my favourite song, tbh) was haunting me all my life. I have possessed the drive to continue this even more when my sister and I dissected the lyrics and the topic of the song, and then the whole idea was just dancing in my head since then. That... and the other contributing songs in my playlist are also the reason why the entire story seemed to be a long song fiction.

My original plan for this story was that Olivia will die. If you refer to the song, its whole message is that it was sung for someone who died. For days I have it in my head like that but then when I was about to write that part, I suddenly had the change of mind. Turns out it is so hard to kill a character especially when you grew fond of it (and I can't even try to write Austin lamenting over her. I just can't). And so I wrote it the other way around, so you can notice I removed some part of the song in the epilogue that implies the first plan.

Oh gosh, I talk too much. I'm so so sorry this is lengthy. But if you've read this whole rant, thank you again! You're so patient. ♥
