Chapter 5: A New Home

You woke up in Sans' room. He was asleep next to you and his scarf was wrapped around your neck instead. You guessed last night you were cold or something.
You sat up and Papyrus was watching you guys like a hawk.
You looked over suprised.
"Heya kid. Just making sure you weren't gonna literally backstab my bro."
You looked at him shocked.
"I would never... Why would-"
He cut you off by teleporting you both outside.
"Listen kid. My brother has died in every other timeline."
You stared at him suprised... And a little scared.
"What?"
His eye flickered orange.
"I know your just gonna stab him in the back like everyone else."
You stepped back into the wall and tried to find an exit.
Papyrus grabbed you with telekinesis and lifted you up in the air.
You struggled around. His eye was orange.
"I want to try and prevent my bro dieing AGAIN!" He slammed you into the ground.
"Ngh... Papyrus I wouldn't! That was someone else! I promise!"
He threw you into another wall.
"I don't trust promises anymore."

Sans POV

I woke up and noticed Y/N was gone.
'Dangit... They had my favorite scarf!
Wait...'

A slam sounds outside.
"Hey uh. Paps? Y/N? You guys out here?" I leaned out the door downstairs...
No response.
'Thats odd...' I thought to myself.
I heard a scream from Y/N
"Y/N!" I ran down the stairs and flew outside.
I looked over and saw Papyrus holding Y/N in the air.
"PUT HER DOWN!" I yelled at Papyrus.
He turned and looked at me, he dropped Y/N and I rushed forward and grabbed them.
"Y/N!"
They were out cold.
I placed them down gently on the ground.
"Papyrus."
Papyrus flinched when Sans used his name.
"Bro, It's alright... I just... I got scared! I didn't want you to get hurt again or something!"
Papyrus looked pleadingly at me.
I stared at him.
"Paps. Look. Y/N is different. You don't know how I feel about them!"
My eye started to flicker...
I don't think I've ever felt this mad before.
Y/N was stirring a bit and I looked back at them. They looked scared.
"Y/N it's okay... I'll protect you."
I stood in front of them, putting my arms out to the side.
"Don't even think about hurting them!"
Papyrus looked taken aback.
"Sans... If I knew how you felt I would of just left it- I just thought that they-"

I snapped at that point.
I sighed.
"They would kill me again? Like Frisk in every other timeline?! DON'T THINK I DON'T HAVE DREAMS TOO! AND I FIGURED OUT THEYWERE REAL!" I started to tear up.
Y/N had gotten up and was grabbing my wrist.
"Don't, Sans it's okay I'm fine!" Y/N pointed at her health.
I stopped, it was only a few health down...
I guess I really screwed up didn't I...
My eye stopped flicking.
"I'm sorry Paps. I just... Got a little overprotective. Thats all." I hugged Papyrus.
He smiled at me.
"Its k bro."
My eyes went to a star shape.
"Awesome! Lets go inside!"
I pulled Paps and Y/N inside.
I bet we can cook Tacos!!!
"Lets cook Tacos!!! Come on!"
I lead Y/N over to the stove.
Alphys always told me to put the stove on top heat!
Cook stuff faster!!!
I think.
Y/N watched me grab all my ingredients.
They stopped me from adding juice.
"Don't add juice. Trust me. Here I'll show you how." Y/N grabbed out Taco ingredients.
I watched her patiently...
'Man they looked kind of cute...
Heh...'
My eyes went to heart shapes as I stared at them.
They looked at me and chuckled quietly. I shook my head and felt myself blush.
"I- Er- LETS JUST MAKE THE TACOS!" I shook my head and jumped up.
"You seem knowladged in the Taco Ways! Tell me more!" I jumped up and down excitedly.
They giggled quietly and showed me how to make a taco.
Hmm... Not like how Alphys cooks...

"Welcome home Y/N..." I whispered under my breath. They looked back at me confused.
"Hmm?" They looked at me.
I shook my head.
"Uh- No no its nothing!"
We continued making tacos.
