I sit in Max's car in awkward silence for a few minutes, tearing up a few times when I think about what she said. 'Why would she say that to me she knows I hate myself anyways'. I see Max look over at his steering wheel and then rub my back a few times attempting make me feel better. "Do you want to go eat? I know this bomb place further down towards Denver?" He asks.

"Sure that sounds good." I sniffle. As we start to drive he puts on music and leans over to give me a kiss on my cheek. I blush a bit, he's so cute.

It was quiet for the past hour and we finally made it, 'Hits The Spot Diner' it read. It wasn't in such a good area, Colfax isn't a good place it's where all the low lives live. We walk in and the waitress is punching numbers in the calculator bringing up the total for the people who just finished eating.

"Pick any open seat sweetheart I'll be right with you." She looks up at Max, she seems to be in her early 20's she's very pretty. Golden wavy hair put into a messy bun, she is tan and she has a tattoo across her collar bone that says something in Chinese. Max runs his hand through his black gelled up hair and smiles at her. We choose a booth and look around it's a nice little place. Everyone around was laughing with their family or having some sort of nice conversation. I turn back to Max he was staring at me, his bright blue eyes were so cute and his white smile everything is so perfect about him.

"She may be awhile with the old fashioned having to calculate everything, she must be smart." He int-winds his feet with me. I looked over and there was about six people in line with their tickets waiting patiently.

"Yeah I think she was flirting with you." I smile, it doesn't bother me ever since middle school every girl had a crush on him and I was lucky enough to catch him first.

"She smiled at me and called me sweetheart. That doesn't mean anything. Besides my heart belongs to you!" He laughed. "Ever since we first met you took my breath away and you still do every day I see you." I start to blush even more than I am now. He leans over the table and puts his warm hands on my cheeks and pushes his lips against mine. Immediately my body fills with butterflies and I shiver. I press my forehead against his and he smiles. "I love you."

"I love you too." He runs his thumb down this middle of my forehead.

"And you have this cute little crease right here that I fell in love with." The waitress walks up and smiles at us. I look down at her shirt, her name tag says 'Veronica'. Max sits back down and gladly takes a menu from her.

"I'm Veronica you can just call me Ronny and I'll be your server today. Thanks for waiting we need too update our electronics. Can I start you guys off with some drinks?"

"Two iced teas please." Max answers. She was staring at his lower lip I noticed they almost had the same piercing. He had a lip ring on the right side of his lower lip and she had one on the left.

"I'll be right back." I nod in approval. We sit and talk for a while we order our food and finish it and leave. We walk out of the restaurant and get in the car and start to drive the car back to Greeley.

As we get close to back home its already 6 o'clock and it's dark. His Gas tank was almost to a quarter of a tank so we pull into the gas station, I hate the guy that works there he is such a creep. We pull into one of the spots where the pumps was. Max doesn't get out of the car, he only waits a few seconds. "Hey before our fun has to end... Do you um wanna tell me why you were crying today?" He looks deep into my eyes, how could I not tell him he's been so good to me. I pick at the lace in my shorts and look down.

"It's nothing really just drama. Between Jessie and I." I shrug. I can tell he's staring at me.

"What'd she do did she hit you or something?"
