Lucy's POV

After the Grand Magic Games and the Eclipse gate thing, I was starting to feel weak. I voiced these concerns to Mira and Cana but they both said that I was one of the strongest people in the guild. Happy happened to listen in so he eventually told the whole guild that I think I'm weak. Everyone went through the trouble of listing off reasons why I'm strong, most saying that because I can handle Natsu so well. Natsu said that I punch and kick like hell, I laughed at that. But still...I still think I'm weak. I'm just a burden. They're just saying I'm strong. So I decided to do what I never thought I would do, I'm going to leave Fairy Tail. Not forever though! Just for a few years so I can train. So I walk up to Master's office and knock on the door. "Come in" I open the door and close it behind me. "Take a seat." So I take a seat in the chair in front of his desk. "What is it Lucy, my child?" "I wish to leave the guild"

"What!? Why!?" I look down. "I'm weak and useless. I wish to leave the guild and train" "You are not weak. But if you wish to leave the guild, I cannot stop you. Hold out your hand." So I do, the one with my guild mark. He puts his hand on mine. "Do you promise to come back my child?" "Yes. Fairy Tail is my home." "Good. Send letters every month." "Got it" He slowly removes his hand from mine, revealing plain skin, no pink mark. I stand up and bow. "Thank you master. Give these to the guild and Team Natsu" I hand him two letters. "And give this one to Natsu" I hand him another one. "Will do my child. Be safe and have a good journey." "Thank you Master. One last request" "What my child?" "Make sure no one searches for me" "Ok" I raise my thumb and pointer finger in the air. Master does the same. "Good luck child!"

I start walking the guild while holding my hand over the part where my guild mark was. "Hey Lucy!" I turn my head and see Natsu and Happy at the mission board. "Wanna go on a mission!?" I smile slightly and shake my head. "Maybe next time. I got to go!" I run out of the guild with tears flying behind me. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" I run to my apartment and shakily unlock the door, walk in, close the door behind me, and slump down to the floor. I bring out a key. "Open gate of the maiden! Virgo!" She appears on the floor with me. "Punishment?" "No! Can you pack my clothes and some food?" "Yes Hime" She stands up and starts going through my clothes and throwing them in a pack. I put the back of my head on the door and close my eyes. I sigh. "Lucy?" I look up and see "Loke? What are you doing here?" "I was given a message." "Message?" "From the master. He said to go to the forest by a cliff. A friend will meet you there" "Ok?" Then he disappears. How did master even contact Loke? Oh well. "Hime, your supplies are packed in this" She holds out a small back pack. "Just say what you want and it will appear automatically." I nod and stand up. "Thanks Virgo!" "PUnishment?" "No!" "Until next time" She disappears after a bow. I sigh. I put the backpack on and walk out of my house, after leaving a note for the land lady. I look up at the house and smile. All the memories I'm leaving behind. I'll always remember. I start walking.

Natsu's POV

It's been a few hours since Lucy ran out. I could've sworn I smelt tears. I hope she's alright. "Natzu!" I look up and see Happy flying towards me with what looks like a letter. "Master told me to give this to you!" he lands on my shoulder and I grab the letter from him. I look at it. "To Natsu" "Open it Natzu!" So I do. I start reading it in my head. 'Dear Natsu, I'm sorry but I'm to weak to be your partner. So I'm going on a journey to train. I'll be back in a few years. I'm just going to skip the long and boring stuff so I'll just say this. I love you Natsu Dragneel. Always have, since Hargeon. When I get back, I'll probably be a strong as you and worthy to be your partner. I left some fish and money in the apartment. I leave that to you two. I'll see ya later. Love, Lucy' I grit my teeth and crumple the paper. "What did it say Natzu?" I stand up, with my bangs covering my hair. "I love you too Lucy, Damn it! How could you just leave like that!" I run out of the guild, Happy landing on the floor. "DAMN IT! I'LL BRING YOU BACK LUCY!" Tears pool in my eyes.
