Chapter 7 - Computer

Since the crash, while Clawdeen had gotten much better, she still had to be hooked up to a few machines and monitored for safety measures, incase she had a relapse or something bad happened. As a result, Kat had the brilliant idea of getting Sophie's help and creating a computer version of Clawdeen. A fully functional AI, that spoke, acted, and was basically Clawdeen but in a computer.

While the group wasn't very fond of having a computer version of their friend, or girlfriend in Sky's case, it was better than having them all crowd her everyday, and letting her recover with only Sky's love and Dr Felix compassion as he checked up on her everyday was what they thought would be the most ideal for them all.

Clawdeen wasn't very happy about it either, but when she got a sudden infection from an injury and was told she couldn't leave the infirmary yet, she started to think this computer AI was the best idea. They wouldn't completely forget about her anyway, Sky checked in everyday every 3 or 4 hours to see how she was and give her some comfort and love. The B Squad, Cruger and Kat all knew how caring and passionate he can be, but this was unlike anything they had seen from him.

"He would make a great husband," Syd commented one day when Sky had left to go see Clawdeen for the 3rd time that day, "he seems like the type who would want to pop the question."

Z just laughed. "Sky, a husband? Come on, he's WAAAAAAAAAY too focused on his work to be a husband! Sure, he's super devoted to Clawdeen, but he's also super devoted to his work!"

"Y'think that's bad? Bridge was saying he'd make a good DAD the other day!" Jack snorted. Bridge just made a grumpy face and nibbled his buttery toast.

"Shut up, Jack. I just thought, y'know, since Sky's hero is his dad, he'd want his child to see him as a hero. Makes sense, right?"

"Bridge, nothing you say makes sense," the Clawdeen AI laughs, "But I see what you mean."

The Clawdeen AI made a good substitute for the real Clawdeen, and it sat on the coffee table, being happy and cute. It wasn't the same thing, but it was better than nothing.

Jack was the one who liked it the most. He did have a crush on Clawdeen, and while he was sad Sky got her first, he was happy for the couple, after all they did seem happy together. But the AI of Clawdeen, however, felt like a second chance, and the AI seemed to like him back. Even if it was only a computer, he felt happy.

Hey, Bridge was in love with Sophie. It was fine for him to be in love with an AI of Clawdeen, right?
