CHAPTER TWO- BLUR

She woke up from a rather deep and uncomfortable slumber with a raging headache after being a victim of the Creature's antics. The bumpy ground felt like an ice block against her skin and her eyes showed no clear vision, it was all a blur. She was dazed and confused, unaware of what had happened to her and the suffering she had gone through during the event.

"woah!" She said as she came to reality, her vision was no longer impaired. She had the perfect view of a cockroach scurrying across the bumpy terrain and towards her face. She instantly screamed and jumped up, momentarily forgetting about the pain in her lower body. She was confused as to why she had awoken on the side of a street, in a dark alley way, her first track of reasoning was that she had gotten drunk and passed out (not that such an event had happened to her before).

Her location was not a familiar one and she had no idea how she would get home, as she was trying to resolve that problem she was faced with another. She heard a pitter patter and soon enough felt cool raindrops crashing against her body, a shiver went through her spine as one raindrop landed on her middle parting where her no weak flesh was exposed. She reached into her pocket to get her phone but all she felt was the jiggle of her plump backside. She started to panic even more  (if that was even possible at the time). But all the confusion and rage seemed to overpower her as once again she slipped into the deadly darkness that held her consciousness captive. No thoughts entered or escaped her poor little mind and no words came out of her poor little mouth.

Kacey's point of view:

I had woken up with rather unusual marks on my body but thought nothing of it- I had imagined it had been a result of me moving around a lot in my sleep and bumping into something. It was Saturday and I had taken full advantage of the extra sleep I was allowed to enjoy, I didn't have many plans for that day but I knew that whether I was going to sleep some more or go out to a party I would still hate the day. Believe it or not I actually enjoyed school and found it interesting, I like to be in a place where I could choose to either be surrounded by people or be completely isolated in a corner. I loved the way there were so many different types of people that endorsed in many different things- I was also quite clever which meant that school and homework didn't bother me that much.

I sat and stared at my surroundings for a while and adjusted to the light when I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts from the sound of my phone ringing. I looked over and saw that it was Sage ( a close friend of mine).

"Hey," I said sleepily.

"You sound like a suffocating Hippopotamus"

"What a great way to say good morning, thanks for that, Sage"

"yeah yeah, whatever. You still love me. Anyway, are you still coming to the theme park today?"

"uh" I thought about all the other things to do during the day and decided that none of my options were as good as going to a theme park "Yeah, sure. What time are you and the guys leaving"

"I'm not going with the others, I'll pick you up. Be ready by 12 on the dot" He demanded.

" That's too early, I can't...." The line had cut before I could finish my sentence. I internally groaned and trudged out of my room and downstairs to be met by my brother who had somehow managed to burn his scrambled eggs.

" Uh Jake, how can you eat that, it's almost as dark as your dead soul" I said, clearly disgusted by his attempt to eat ashes.

"Haha, great joke Kacey, Very funny." He glared at me which made my shiver a little. I was not scared of my brother but he could be pretty intimidating at times. I began to walk towards the bathroom when I heard footsteps behind me, I clearly turned around and knocked the freezing water Jake was presumably trying to throw on me. I laughed hysterically (and quite unattractively) at his failed attempt to soak me.

"Kacey: 1 Jake: 0" I said in between huge gasps for air.

My brother and I were pretty close, we had to be, especially after our father died. We were quite young when it happened and we didn't know much about how he died but we knew that we had to stick together if we were going to survive. Jake and I didn't date many people- maybe it was because we were unattractive- but we liked to think that it was because we weren't interested in such affairs. We were both aware of the fact that most teenage relationships end up in a mellow-dramatic break up, we were also aware that people spoke and once a relationship was publicised it would be quickly sabotaged by the people that were least expected to.

I had gotten ready quite some time before 12 which amazed myself as well as Sage. We had got into his car and driven to the theme park to wait for the 12 other people we were spending the day with. I had come to have many friends but I was not always such a popular girl. I was once the girl that stayed in the Library at all times and had little to no friends, I was a social outcast but I didn't mind that much. Not much had changed about me when I started to make friends- they came to me when I started to only care about my appearance in the slightest as opposed to not caring at all. It was like they had finally seen potential in me and had taken it with all their might, what they needed me for? I had no idea but one day I was surrounded my people in the shopping centre rather than in the Library.

I had liked my life as a social outcast and had no complaints, I was invisible which meant that I never had to face the drama of having friends and enemies and people that disliked me. At first, it felt uncomfortable to be around so many people but after a while I got used to the lifestyle. I sometimes missed being a loner and being able to have time for myself as well as not being expected to go to things like going to parties- I missed being able to walk into the school and get to a lesson without a million people stopping to talk along the way.

After around 10 minutes of waiting, I was greeted by all the other people and we were soon on rides and having a good time. First we went on a ride called the dragon where we were rotated at high speed whilst moving along the roller-coaster track, we then went on around 8 more rides until I had come to the conclusion that I felt sick.
