I had the perfect view of my up chuck in the toilet bowl, I had no idea how I had managed to pour so much out of my stomach as I had not eaten all day. Karen was behind me, holding my hair as the contents of stomach did not refrain from showing. Once I was done, I washed my mouth, tied my hair up and went outside to find only Sage waiting for me. I wasn't very surprised that the others had went on without seeing if I was okay- was that really what our friendship was meant to be?
I was in the middle of insisting that I was okay to Sage when I was disrupted by a man I presume was a worker. He had dark scruffy hair and wore a red shirt, something about him seemed oddly familiar and mysterious but I refrained from pre-judging him.
"Here you go," He said whilst handing me a bottle of water.
He looked only a little bit older than me and he had the type of eyes that shined so bright that it seemed like the image of them were burned into my brain. "I saw that you looked sick so I thought I'd bring you a bottle of water-" He paused to look into Sage's eyes "Seeing as nobody else was as kind.."
"uh, thanks.." I said warily.
I didn't even know the man and I felt somewhat intimidated by him, I was curious as to why he had looked at Sage in such a disrespectful manner. I watched as the strange man nodded in acknowledgement and turned to walk away. I was close to putting the bottle to my mouth when I felt it being knocked out of my hand, the water had spilt all over me.
"Hey, what's wrong with you. You spilled water all over me" I said, annoyed at Sage for acting so unpredictably.
"I may have just saved your life, be grateful," he replied with a blank look on his face.
"What are you on about?"
"He might have been trying to poison you"
"What? You saw the bottle, it was sealed. There's no way he could have put something in it. You're being dramatic anyway." I said, pushing his idea away.
Sage picked up the bottle cap and pointed to a small hole that sat perfectly in the middle of it "Just because it was sealed, does not mean he couldn't have found another way to put something into it". I just watched Sage, amazed at how weird he was acting- I was still convinced that the man was doing a good deed and that the hole could have been there for any reason.
"Now I'm thirsty"
