~Time Skip - 2 weeks later, Monday at school ~
I sat once again tying my shoes in the football locker room. Usually I would get out of there as soon as I finished changing, trying to avoid the bulliers. Today though they had been acting weird, avoiding me. I decided to wait a bit.
Once again when they walked past me they kind of ducked their heads and wouldn't look at me. They hurried across the room and out the door. 'hmm' I thought 'oh well, it's time to go get Kyle anyway.'
I grabbed my stuff and went through the door. Down the hallway and on the way to Kyle.
~~~
When I walked into the room Kyle would be waiting for me in I gasped in shock. There the redhead was with a black eye. His hat was vacant from his head. His face was contorted in pain and he didn't see me come in. "Kyle?" I called out, concerned. He jerked his head up, his hand slipping away from his eye. "Oh, hey Stan" he said and tried to smile.
"Don't you 'hey Stan' me, what happened?" "Oh this?" he asked, airily gesturing to his bruised eye. "I ran into a door" "Bullshit Ky, it looks like you were punched" he flinched a bit when I said that but it was so small that I shrugged it off. "I swear Stan, I just ran into a door" he said again. I sighed a bit "Alright Ky, I'll believe you" Kyle looked a little disappointed but relieved at the same time.
"Lets just go home now" he stated and I nodded. He got up from his desk and reached down to grab his backpack. When he did this his sleeve came up and I saw a flash of a few red lines dance across his wrist. I barely saw it, and I didn't know what I saw. He moved up quickly and pulled his backpack onto his shoulder. He snatched his hat from the desk and headed for the door.
I followed silently and we headed home for the day.
