Normal Weekends

As I was walking down the hall to pick up Kyle, I heard rapid clicking of heels moving down the hall towards me. "Stan!" a high pitched female voice called out to me. 'Man, every damn day' I thought, sighing. When I turned around I only caught a glimpse of black hair before I had some cleavage shoved into my face and against my chest.

I sighed again, and looked down to see Wendy clinging to me and looking up at me with her light brown eyes. Her face seemed to be glowing as she looked up at me expectantly. I once again sighed under my breath. She was in love with me, everyone knew it. She thought we were dating, everyone thought we were dating. We weren't. In fact, I never even liked her. She was so rude to everyone and so full of herself.

She was such a bitch, she's only nice to her little gang of girls that follow her around and do whatever she says. 'Ugh, I wish she would just leave me alone' but no matter how much I wished she wouldn't go away. So instead I shook her off. "I've got something to do right now, leave me alone" and with that off I went to pick up Kyle.

~~~~~~ Classroom -
When I came into the classroom no one else was there, as always, except for Kyle. The teacher knows I always come to pick up my friend late. So she leaves the door open for me since the door automatically locks from the inside when closed.
Kyle has his head down on the desk, his green ushanka hat still on his head. His jacket lay on the back of his chair as his chest rose and fell with each gentle breath he took. I didn't want to disturb his peace so I drew up a chair, placed it in front of his desk, and plopped down, quietly, into it. I put my elbows on his desk and rested my chin in my hands as I watched him sleep. He didn't move from his position or make a single peep in his slumber.
As I watched Kyle I felt myself drifting into darkness as well. I lay my arms flat on the desk to place my head down upon them. I closed my eyes and let myself drift asleep.
~~~~~~~~Later ~ (im to lazy to come up with dreams just yet)

I awoke from my peaceful slumber to find a pair of bright green orbs staring into my blue ones. I jerked back a bit, surprised for a moment, before I relaxed again. It was only Kyle. He had woken up and had his jacket back on. His ushanka still sat proudly atop his head. The hair stuck out from under the hat was in a messy array of multiple different directions. He beamed up at me for a moment, his eyes shining for a split second, and he flashed one of his smiles towards me.

"Finally, dude" he exclaimed, "I thought you were never gonna wake up!"

"Yeah, yeah." I replied dramatically. "You were the one asleep first."

He snorted at that and headed for the door. "Just come on dude," he called over his shoulder, "I've got a new video game." He smirked at that and I was out the door after him in a heartbeat.

~~~~~~~
The walk to Kyle's house was like usual. No silences overlapped us, we never ran out of things to talk about. I'd mostly complain about how annoying Wendy was, Kyle was the only one who understood and believed I wasn't dating her. Kyle would go on about how Cartman was still a bitch and we would both laugh.
Sometimes along the walk I would think I'd seen Kyle glancing at me, but when I turned to face him he would be looking ahead again. It would be only for a split second, so I thought I was just imagining it. I didn't think much into it.
We continued walking until we came up to Kyle's house. "Finally" was all I said as we slid into the house for a weekend of sitting around like couch potatoes.
"Kyle?" his mother called from the kitchen, "you finally home?"
"Yeah mom" was all he said.
"How's Stan" she questioned.
"I'm fine Shelia" I answered for Kyle.
"Staying over?" she called, not sounding the least bit surprised I was there.
"Yep" was all I had to say, she knew me and Kyle always had sleepovers on the weekends even though we were already in high school.
"Good, I already made an extra serving of dinner for you. Now go upstairs and relax, dinner will be ready in about 10 minutes." That was all she said before she was silent again.
Me and Kyle headed upstairs without another word. We went stair to his room and I pulled my duffel bag out from under his bed. Since we stayed over so often we each had a duffel bag full of necessary items for a sleepover at each other's house. My blue duffel bag had extra clothes, headphones, toothbrush and paste, batteries, snack bars, etc. Kyle had the same stuff in his green one that was under my bed.
We striped off our hats, jackets, and shoes, before plopping down on his bed and turning on the TV. We sat close together, hunched over the edge of the bed, controllers in hand.
A normal weekend.
