Seven year old boy genius, Spencer Reid crawled into his bed. He curled the soft covers in fists, snuggling into the mattress. His mother, Diana Reid, a crazy schizophrenic, came in and kissed his forehead.

"Night mom." He whispered, picking up a book to read.

"Eh eh eh, too late to read Spence. You need to sleep." Diana smiled, plucking the book from her sons hands. Spencer sighed and smiled, understanding why he wasn't allowed to read. Taking the glasses off of Spencer's face, Diana set them on the night stand and flipped the light off.

Spencer snuggled under the blankets, rubbing his eyes with his fists. A nightlight cast shadows around the room, yet the young boy could sleep soundly.

He woke with a startled feeling, a hand clamped over his mouth. "One little sound and I slit your throat." A man cooed, a soft chuckle sounding from the direction of the voice.

Spencer nodded, whimpers escaping his lips. The man slapped him, a soft yelp squeaking from his voice. "I'm sorry." Spencer sobbed, rocking back and forth on his bed.

"Shut up!!" The man howled, the sting of a slap now facing Spencer again.

"For gods sake Magnus, grab the kid and let's go his mother is probably gonna be up soon! I already have the money and jewelry lets go!!" Another man whispered in a loud, harsh tone.

Spencer continued to whimper quietly, desperately wishing to scream for his mother to help. Even if he did, there was no guarantee that Diana would think anything of it. She often awoke from Spencer's screaming, but it was only schizophrenia.

The first man, Magnus, picked up Spencer. Instantly, the young boy began to squirm and sob, begging to be let go. Unable to deal with the fighting delinquent, Magnus took the butt of the pistol to Spencer's head.

The light from the night light faded away as Spencer lost consciousness. The two men carried him out and away, far from home.
