Daughter Of The Flash

Chapter 1

Barry's POV;

"Ugh..." I moan as I walk into the house. "Kat,baby, I'm home!'' I here plates banging together in the kitchen. "Stay in there! I have a surprise for you!" She calls. I sit down and rub my arm. I had rammed it into a wall on my way back from saving a boy from a fire. "Damn...." Says a familiar voice. I turn to see Violette staring at my badly bruised shoulder. "Hey, Vi. Why are you here?" I said getting up to hug her. "Nice to see you too, and I can't tell ya Mr.Crippled." I turn to see Kat walking out holding a tray with tacos and a card. "What's all this?" I say kissing her softly on the cheek. "Your surprise." She smiles and hands me the card. I give her a questioning look as I take it and open it. The card reads;

Honey, I love you. We're having a baby.

My jaw dropped at the news. Tears came to my eyes. Kat squeaked and I dropped the paper to hug her. "I am sooo the godmother ......... right?" Violette said. Kat hugged me back as I laughed and nodded at Violette. "Oh yea!!" Vi shouted and pumped the air with her fist. "Okay." Kat said, pulling away.
"The doctor said the baby's growing pretty fast. That there must be something wrong......'' She added in a sadder tone.
"Hey, look at me..." I said bringing up her chin so I could look her in the eyes. "We're going to be parents!"
