Our Unusual Love

Chapter 1

"Do you Jang Seulgi, promise to guard everyhing near and dear to our kind as one of the most powerful members of our society? Do you promise to uphold the three rules set before us since time began?" The head of the association between pixies and fairies asked in a solemn voice

"I hereby promise hold everything close to my heart and thy enemies will become my enemies. I promise to uphold the three rules and live by them fully till the end of my service in anyway my service will end, I will uphold them till my last breath" I replied firmly

Hi, let me introduce myself, I am Jang Seulgi, daughter of Jang Wonsik and Jang Hyeoseong, as a hybrid of fairy and pixie which according to the history books, only happen in 5 out of 100,000 couples. In our society I am one of those who possess the greatest powers that one could dream of, out of the 5 couples, there is only 3 who reach the right age so that this ceremony I am a part of, the other 2 might not be able to follow this path and just live in the palace where you're not actually allowed to do anything.

But they did not choose that path either, it's just that they didn't pass the training of 5 years and hence, they remain there doing who knows what, but rumors have come out that they turn into humans and are never seen again.

"As the newly appointed guardian of all our society's secrets, your first task is to monitor the forest and go seek what is disturbing the peace of the sanctuary" the head ordered me after the placing of the power flower crown on my head, which is the symbol of being a guardian who has passed all the stages of training and is ready to go out into the world to help protect our society from any destruction that could be caused by humans

I bowed and went on my way following the map that was given to me, when you see it, it's only a blank piece of paper and the route would only be visible to the assigned guardian, which ever guardian sees the map, a different route shows hence, we can all borrow each other's maps but then, we won't be able to see where each other will be going.

The rules are actually not that harsh yet alot tend to break them. I for one, will be challenged with them, I know that. I just don't know what will happen if I break them in anyway. I guess the hardest rule to keep will be rule number 1 and 2 since I would be monitoring humans day and night. Yet it is helpful that guardians don't feel most human emotions, we only feel 3 emotions; happiness, sadness, and anger. Only these three so it won't be that hard.

I suddenly heard like around hundreds of shrieks as I got closer to the edge of the forest, where according to the map, the spot that is marked on the map is around the said area.

I rushed to find out what was going on and I saw there was a small stage set up, hundreds of people were crowded around the stage and the stage seemed empty except for 6 guys dancing and singing as well?

My eyes laid on one of them who seemed like the main vocalist, he's hot as anything, the next song seemed really sad and for the first verse, the guy who I had my eyes on was actually in the middle of the group and was singing in a really sad song, they seemed like they were holding a concert or something. Then their fans were shouting and shrieking at the same time, the next song, the fans were shouting out names

"Cha Hakyeon! Jung Taekwoon! Lee Jaehwan! Kim Wonsik! Lee Hongbin! Han Sanghyuk!" The fans shouted, wow one of them actually has the same name as my father

I watched them till the end of their performance and I felt myself becoming more and more curious about the same guy over and over again, no harm in being curious right?

I froze when they started talking, and the guy I felt curious about started talking

I closely examined his face and I can say that humans do look different from fairies. He particularly caught my eye, he seems to be the one with the most number of people shouting his name. He has these small and sharp eyes which make him look like a bad guy. He suddenly looked towards my direction as if sensing that someone was watching him. It gave me a chance to examine his eyes even more, his eyes where like those of a lion, sharp and scary. He has these plump pinkish lips that compliment his fair skin tone. His hair is jet black and is just long enough that when put down, didn't cover his eyes, it only covered up until a few centimeters above his eyebrows. Sweat dripped down his face and my eyes followed a drop of sweat as it rolled down the side of his face. The sweat drop rolled down his jawline, which felt like you could cut yourself when you touch it. His cheekbones were high yet not too high, they weren't too low either. His cheeks were flushed evident that he was affected by the heat. His skin, fair and flawless, especially on his face, seemed like it glowed in the sunlight. He seemed taller than most of the other guys which made him standout even more. His broad shoulders stood out even more with the suit he was wearing while performing. His hair was wet with sweat, yet it didn't seem too matte on his head.

He moved in such a mysterious way and he has this way that even though the others were laughing their heads off, he managed to stay still as a statue and not even a smile tugged at his lips. He looked like nothing I've seen before, he looked special and fragile, yet tough at the same time.

"..... VIXX Leo imnida" (i'm VIXX Leo)

The way he spoke seemed more like a whisper. He spoke in such a gentle and caring manner which seemed too demure for the aura he emits. Leo, wow what a name, but who were the ones the fans were shouting? It's impossible that they have 5 members who aren't on stage.

"What are you doing here?" I heard my sunbae (senior), Cheng say

I felt stoned to my spot as she said those words

"I-I was just" I stammered

"You're curious about them aren't you?" She asked me I looked at her with a shocked expression

"Yeah... but how did you know?"

"It's written all over your face hun, I'm actually curious about that one" she said and pointed to the guy who introduced himself as Ken

"Ken?" I asked

"Yeah, Lee Jaehwan" she said and suddenly stood up straight

"Never mind that! We've got work to do, we don't have time to meddle with humans, let's start" she said and waved her hand and rain started pouring

The crowd whined in annoyance and the program was put to a stop and soon enough, the forest was silent again

Afterwards, I went straight to bed but I couldn't get Leo, was it? out of my head, he has this mysterious aura about him that makes your insides feel quesy yet he has this charm that makes you want to become closer to him.

I closed my eyes to try and forget him, it's my first day on the job and I can't be like this on my first day

The moment I closed my eyes, I saw his face again.

Do humans have magic as well? As far as I know, they are just mundane, ordinary, and powerless. Why does it feel like he cast a spell on me? What is this? I shouldn't feel this, wait what is this? Is this even normal?

He probably did cast a spell, especially that time when he almost looked at me, it seemed like his eyes were pulling me closer to him. What is this emotion? Is this even an emotion? If it is, what is it called?

A/N: VIXX is just driving me crazy, Leo, Ravi and N most specifically haha, weird story I don't actually know anything about pixies, fairies and other stuff, everything is made up :D
