The File

April's POV

I held my books tight to my chest as I walked to math class. I forgot to study for my test. I walk into the room and I saw my best friend May with the same look on her face. I sat down next to her and she passed me a note.

  Guess what!!! We got a new kid!!!!

I gave her a look just as the new kid walked in the door. He had glasses, green hair, blue eyes and was carring a notebook. He sat down right in front of May. He turned flashing a bright smile.

"Hi I'm Darren"

In a panic I look at May who instinctivly hid her face in her book. I sigh and say

"Hi I'm April and this is May"

He looks at May "What book are you reading?"

Her face gets red as says "Fullmetal Alchemist. I'm on book seven"

"Cool I'm on book six" he said.

I gave May the look and I could tell she wanted to hit me. Just then my crush Ryan Summers walked in May gave me a look as he sat down in front of me. He turned around smiled

"Hey Winters"

I hid my face in my notebook.

" Sup, Valentine"

"Hi, Summers!" said May

He looked at Darren.

" And you are?"

Just then we heard a voice behind us. May rolled her eyes.

" His name is Darren Heart. " said none other than Jane White.

She smiled at Ryan, turned and walked to the front of the class where her group sat, carring her $2000 purse. I rolled my eyes.

"You two don't like her do you?" Darren asked almost laughing.

"Is it that obvious" May said.

More people came into class one by one. Ms. Flo stood up in front of the class.

"The printer is broken so the test will be on Monday" she said.

I smiled and looked at May who was smiling as big as me.

"So I'm giving you a study hall" Ms. Flo said.

I pulled out my notebook and started to draw. May passed me another note

      I'm still coming over tonight right. I have to tell
      You something BIG!!!

I read the note and wrote back

      Yeah and I bet it's that you think Heart is cute

        If its that obvious then why would you have to wait !!!!!

I smiled. When we finally heard the bell ring we walked down the hallway to science. I sat next to May and Darren sat onthe other side of her. Next thing I knew Ryan had sat next to me. Our teacher Mr. Coben stood at the front of class room he started talking about rocks and I could tell half of the class was spaced out but us four in the back row were just drawing in out note books. I was drawing a dragon and May was sketching the class room and sketching Darren. She looked at me I write a note on the side of my paper.

"Is that darren?"

She looked at me and wrote "what do you think?"

I smiled. Ryan looked like he was drawing a castle. It had a dragon in the background. It looked like Darren was drawing a person but I couldn't see who.

Mr. Coben called us four up to the front of the class.

"What were you four drawing?"

Each one of us ripped our paper out of our note books.

" Would you please tell us what your drawings are?"

Ryan was the first to show the class his drawing, a castle with a dragon.

Next me with my dragon and fire.

Then Darren a picture of a girl drawing in her note book.

Then May a picture of a guy drawing in his note book.

In the back of the class we heard Jane say "How adorable!" With her evil smile plastered on her face. All of us sat back down. Darren and May were both red. Just then over the intercom we heard the principle say " Can April Winters and May Valentine please report to the office something was dropped off"

We looked at each other. We were quiet as we walked down the halls to the office.

"What do you think it is?" May asked.

"I don't know. What do you think?" I asked.

"I don't know" she said right before we walked into the office.

"There it is girls" said one of the lady drinking coffee.

We picked it up. It was a file. We opened it slow and in it was pictures but not just any pictures the pictures of a murder.
