I am far too scared
To let you in.
I am far too scared of your power.
You wield it with such authority
It makes me want to cower.
Like an iron fist your drive your truth
so vigorously into life,
The lies I hide dig deeper down
In fear of your seeking light.
I want to tell you everything
I want to bear it all
I want to trust you with anything
But I'm much to scared to talk.
I suppose what I need is a common trait
One that I know we both share,
But in searching you I see not one,
Perhaps it isn't there.
