***RECAP***

She stopped playing and just stared out into the ocean. My mouth was open but unlike the last time my jaw had dropped because of her it wasn't due to her body.

It was because of her voice.

She turned her head towards Lily and I was startled to see tears on her face, making her eyes even bluer than before. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and roused Lily.

“C'mon Lily. Let's leave. I'll teach how to not drown,” she said with a small smile.

“Are you sure?” Lily asked uncertaintly.

“Yeah, let's make the most of L.A.,” Angie responded, packing up her guitar. The two of them left.

I sat there behind the boulder with only one thought running through my mind.

Her voice was just another reason for me to call her Angel.

Chapter 5

“Now I'm depressed,” Lily complained flopping onto her bed in our small room. We had just been dropped off at the Jefferson by the airport shuttle. To me it looked even gloomier than usual compared to our trip to L.A.

“Don't worry. Soon we'll be out of school and we'll get a scholarship and move to L.A.,” I said trying to sound optimistic. However even to me I sounded hollow.

Lily frowned and stared at the many Devils in Heaven posters plastered to her wall. I looked at Noah's face and glared at it.

Stupid Noah.

When I had first walked into their dressing room, my eyes immediately went to Noah. He was easily the best looking, with wavy midnight black hair, stormy gray eyes, perfectly tanned skin, and the obvious 6 pack displayed through his tight black shirt. His voice was hypnotizing and dangerous at the same time, and his cocky smile exuded a type of confidence that not that many possessed.

He was the bad boy. I had known that even before the concert. And I loved bad boys.

And then of course he and Isaac had to be idiots and drop their jaws. And Noah opened his stupid mouth and I completely wrote him off as attractive.

Okay not really. There's no way that he could ever not be attractive to me.

He was fun to argue with though.
