she said as she looked at Damon as he opened the door
"I came here to give Jade some things." she said in monotone, I saw her glance to me then back to Damon with a towel wrapped around his waist brushing his teeth. I mentally smirked
only he would answer a door almost naked.
she gave me a box, and inside it was a necklace with the serenity prayer on it
I smiled a little and I looked back up and she was gone...
fuck.
"ALEX!" I yelled but she was nowhere in sight
"DAMOOOOOOOOOOON!" I screeched
"WHAT IM RIGHT HERE. YOU DONT NEED TO SCREECH." he said
"DRIVEH MEH SOMEWHERE." He didn't ask questions and he grabbed his keys and said
"WHERE TOO M'LADY?" I felt a pang in my chest as he said that remembering Gee, but I quickly shrugged it off.
"ALEX'S HOUUUUUSE." I said and laughed
we pulled up to her house and I was shaking and I knocked on the door and her mother answered the door
"Hello, who are you?" she asked. hmmph. I guess she's still the same.
"ahhh, you don't remember me, Ms.Baker? damn, the Alzheimer's starts fast, now." (no offense to anyone who has/ and or knows someone with Alzheimer's, My nana and Grandpa had it.)
she automatically recognized my voice and scowled
"Alex doesnt need you anymore. She got over you and just had a bad breakup. Leave now!" She shouts. Thats when Alex comes into the room.
"I just have to speak with her, and then I'll be on my way. Please...It may be the last chance I get to talk to her..." I pleaded.
"fine..." she let me in and Alex hugged me and I hugged her back and I said
"We have to talk..."
"okay...?" she said
"this may be the least we ever see eachother.." I said and a tear fell down my cheek
I heard her breathing stop and she let out a shaky breath.
"W-What...?"
I put my head in my hands and said..
"I joined the Marines..."
