I sat in the thick snow, trying to ignite the firewood. My auntie, Osha, was off hunting somewhere. "Come on, come on" I muttered as small sparks flew from the dry wood. After a few minutes, the fire had properly lit. "God I'm awesome" I chuckled proudly to myself.
I expected Auntie to come back with dead rabbit corpses but instead she came back with a large man, and 2 boys, one a cripple. My Wildling instincts kicked in and I grabbed my bow, aiming at the strangers. "Auntie what the shit is this?" I questioned angrily.
"Put the fucking bow down Y/N. We need to help these people" Auntie explained."Why?" I snarled, I didn't take too well to strangers. "I don't know why, but we just do" she explained. "Wow real good reason Auntie" I huffed back sarcastically. "Shut it you" she snapped back. I put the bow down and made my way back over to the fire.
After an hour or so, I learnt everyone's names. The big guy was called Hordor, the cripple was Brandon Stark and the other boy was Rickon his younger brother. Starks huh? High borns probably. Auntie skinned and cooked the rabbits and we ate.

It had been a few weeks now since we met and I had to say, they were great people. Me and Hordor had become close friends. Rickon was like my younger brother and he adored me. Brandon was a close friend also.
All of us were walking, apart from Brandon who was being carried by Hordor. For some reason I was trailing behind, cautious that someone was following us. I held my bow with an arrow ready to fire as I looked around. I didn't notice that the rest of the group where far ahead.
"Y/N! Move your ass!" Auntie yelled.
"I'm coming" I huffed back. Then I noticed a deer wearily step towards me. I froze, not wanting to scare it. The group were far away. "Hello there." I spoke softly. The deer flinched a bit. "I'm not gonna hurt you" I soothed her anxiety and held out my hand. The deer placed her small snout in my hand, in a trusting way."See." I smiled and began stroking her furry head. "Aren't you beautiful?" I scratched under her chin and she groaned as if she liked it. "Right there huh?" I chuckled, applying more pressure. The deer suddenly licked my hand, leaving a trail of saliva.
"Eww. Thanks for that" I giggle, wiping the goo off. In the distance I could see her pack of other deers. They were calling out for her. "Go ahead girl. Your family is calling. They miss you" I ushered her to return. She gave me an understanding look and bounded back to reunite with her family.
I watched as she greeted them. She was lucky. I didn't know my parents, only Osha, my auntie. She raised me since birth. "Oi shit for brains! Get over here!" Osha yelled, snapping me out of my deer filled daze. "I'm fucking coming!" I yelled back, annoyed. You could see the family love we had.
I marched back to them. Suddenly, a saw a figure hiding behind a tree. I quickly readied my bow. "You better get out here before I feed you to the wolves" I threatened. The figure slowly stepped out. It was a boy, about my age with a strong but lanky build and blonde hair. Quite handsome.
"I mean you no harm love" he spoke with a thick British accent. "State your name and business" I ordered, bow still ready to fire. "My names Jojen Reed. I'm here with my sister, Meera, we've been following you because we need to help Brandon" he answered me easily.
"Where's your sister?" I questioned, looking around. Surprisingly I was acting more brave then I actually was. "She's behind the tree" he chuckled. "Why do you need Brandon?" I asked firmly. "He has the sight" Jojen answered. "We'll explain everything later. But please love, put the bloody bow down." He grinned.
I hesitated for a moment. Jojen took a step towards me but I fired my arrow at his feet. It landed just a few inches away. "That Jojen, was a warning shot. You attempt to harm me or my friends then next time I won't miss and it'll be in your chest, got that pretty boy?" I raised my eyebrow. He smirked and nodded.
